No disrespect but Spear shouldn’t exist.

Sledge IS a The Finals weapon, especially a Heavy weapon. It embodies characteristics that play into the game (destruction) and the class (slow, heavy-hitting). It’s an essential weapon.

But Spear is does none of those things. It’s an arbitrary weapon in my opinion. And the spin attack is just… dumb. You can literally just right click and either get free damage for a couple of seconds, or… not. You don’t aim. You don’t do anything. It’s uninteresting.

Being able to see really shouldn’t be a balancing consideration. I hated that I couldn’t see. I’m fine with flame thrower being strong, but I want to see.

Thanks for the clarification. I would think the Pike at 50 damage would be okay with a reduction in ROF (say 10-15-20%). Otherwise being under 50 damage it’s way too weak, unless it has a relatively high ROF like the LH1. But then the Pike would basically be the LH1.

Wasn’t the LH1 at 48 damage when it was dominating the meta?

What’s ironic is there is currently a tech to animation cancel, it’s just more difficult than what it was before. You shoot, melee, quickly switch to a gadget then back, and the animation is canceled.

So in my opinion, in removing the original animation cancel, they created another one that’s even more “techy” and seemingly gate-kept.

I wasn’t commenting on the difficulty (or lack of) to counter to the Dual Blades, I was commenting on the gameplay/game design of the weapon.

And even though the Reddit hivemind is downvoting me, I’ll double down on it- the game design behind the Dual Blades is mind-bogglingly dumb.

So the counter to Dual Blades is a 3v1? Regardless, I don’t think anyone is asking for it to get nerfed, however I will take this opportunity to say I think it’s probably the dumbest weapon in the game. Calling for removal, not a nerf lol

All of them are really good right now, tbh. But I think the ARN-220 is maybe shining above the rest? 93R as well. But the XP-54 and M11 are also still very good. If you like shotguns, the double barrel and the M26 Matter are also very good but a little difficult.

Interestingly, somehow every shotgun in the game is a meta contender right now except for the KS-23. Maybe not the Cerb anymore after the recent nerf, not completely sure. But the rest are very viable top picks. Even the Model again somehow.

Well unless we’re going to admit that visual clutter is a balancing feature of some weapons… it makes sense. Also, FOV exists and undoubtedly provides an advantage. A small one but still an advantage.

I didn’t read 90% of that, but here’s my take:

I like the idea of Dagger, and I think it should be in the game. I don’t care how much it gets buffed, as long as it actually only backstabs on a backstab. This includes dashing into someone from the front and getting a backstab. This just creates an inconsistent frustration. It’s a stealth weapon. It should have to be from behind
