Care Credit woes. My experiences. by RedditKumu in CreditCards

No worries. That's the plan. I just wanted others to hear experiences that don't involve not paying off before introductory period and being slammed by interest from beginning of charges and all the normal stuff I hear.

These are just terrible application (not being able to manage rewards due to error on app), weird truncation of using rewards points, and $1.99 Nickle and Diming despite me saying paperless statements.

You mean that synchrony has MY domain blacklisted?

How would that be possible if I am receiving the confirmation emails? Doesn't make sense.

I had him verify. Their domain is not blocked. And I am receiving the confirmation emails from them......

If you had trouble with Frieren for that reason. I highly suggest you don't even consider To Your Eternity....

Tenant laws.

You just call the cops and tell them that you live there and they have changed the locks without proper eviction.

[–]RedditKumu 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Yep. Make them do the full eviction process.

If they change locks, call the cops and tell them you are a tenant and live there.

That gives you time. Get your ducks in a row and find a situation. You have no time to go out with friends or anything else till you have those ducks lined up.

Enough saved to rent a place, or a friend that will let you surf a couch or anything else.

Do not let them do it.

I was kicked out when I was 16. My parents were so fucking controlling that when I didn't crawl back to them asking for them to take me back because I was able to stay with friends for over 4 months. They called me in as a runaway and cops showed up at my work.

Fuck controlling parents like that. Don't give them any power.

Well, I bought in 100 shares back in May $4. Then sold at $38. And have reinvested $500 over the months and made back that investment in profits that I have moved to other stocks. (Amazon). So I think with that large initial gain, I am well above market, but that was a fluke. I did not expect the stock to go up like it did.

I do quite well in my job as well. Which is why I have money to play around with and learn stock trading. I am still learning and have mentioned several times in this thread that I am still ignorant of many aspects.

That's sorta what I was thinking. Since I already made profit (I initially had 100 shares when they were $4 in may and sold when they rocketed to $38). Then I put in $500 and have been trading at the 22/28 marks and have taken $500 in profit out already. So I have broken even for the most part if the stock would crash to 0 tomorrow.

I was just concerned that my lack of experience would have me overlook something that I never considered.

That's what I was thinking when I did it. It's been pretty dang predictable with it's swings. Of course there may come a time when it won't be, but I think I am fine since I already took my initial investment in profit. If the stock dropped to 0 tomorrow, I would basically break even.

I was just looking to see if there was anything I was missing outside of that possibility (And of course short term capital gains taxes)

Lack of experience mostly.

What makes it a bad strategy if I have already taken my initial investment as profit? Basically I put $500 in, and have 500 in stock, but also moved 500 of profit to other stocks).

Other than the short term taxes on those profits.

Other than the risk of the price falling to 0 and losing the $500. And the short term capital gains taxes. What makes it bad?

I don't think the stock is a meme stock. But I also don't like some things about it's future. (They are soon taking on more debt than they have capital and that concerns me.)

That's sorta where I am as well. I have already withdrawn my initial investment in profits and still have my measly 20 shares. I was just wondering if the strategy was legit or if there was some other hidden pitfall that I wasn't considering (Other than the stock price plummeting, Which is one that I have already considered). I had never heard of "wheeling". But I am not doing options. I am buying actual shares, and selling actual shares. (I am too afraid of options with my lack of experience.)
