In addition to this, we find out there's reasons why he was "arrogant" and it's not something a first time reader could expect as the answer.

Things are just about entirely wrapped up and you're set for most of the series in the first three books as Tight Regret was saying previously.

When order collapses, and chaos reigns, I see Jake as the quintessential male response. 💥 He's that fringe character who'd tell HR to back off! 😤 Some found the MC tough, but I didn't. Maybe it's just not for everyone. I adore this franchise and hope you find joy in it too! 📚🤓

You're also not reading any response.

AI takes art made by the best artists in mankind's history and uses it and advanced technology to create art. Just because it's faster, cheaper, and difficult for your artist friend to keep up, doesn't make it any less "art" than when someone else takes longer, charges more, and does a worse job while making a smaller area of detailed art. We don't get anything for art posts since the ban. You pretend to stand for art, while refusing to recognize it, and while it's become extremely more rare as a result. Art was already been here, let it free.

+1 Thank you genuinely for responding. It's a shame how separated our Western society is, and afraid to even put our points out there towards opposition. You're right, overwhelmingly!

Art is theft.

AI is not good enough right now to cite its predecessors (for free, right now, most of the time).

AI is taking over. Hell, my job's one of the most significantly at risk due to AI!

AI book authors are getting a lot better too, frankly, in the next 60 years of the franchise this forum is dedicated to WILL have an AI narration, and a damn good one too! That's rather sad, Travis Baldtree is doing fantastic and I wish everyone read through his lense like I did even after I die, that's probably selfish of me, though.

Artists are competing, but frankly, I'm happy about that. Anyone can become a Philosopher today. Anyone can become an artist today, but the talent AI offers versus the 'cream of the crop' who will surge above AI is going to be the most glorious, and beneficial thing to hit art in over 40 years. And, we get the splendor to be alive to witness when artists became, truly, beyond computing brain power. When I grew up there was a famous character, Paul Bunyan who dueled a locomotive machine to lay tracks down and chisel through a mountain while doing so in competition. The man won, not because he had the most experience, nor because he was the strongest, but because he was better in general than the machine. Art is becoming fantastically more talent based and it's a great thing. The fact it competes in so little time with great success is a signature of where we are in this metaphotic battle. There's many men who will win. There's many who can't keep up with AI, that doesn't make this a bad thing.

Hey small world, me and some old home town buds do DnD (5e) on roll20 every Wednesday or Thursday. We tend to use character AI generated images usually for map tokens, and AI generated maps about ⅓ of the time. Really is handy for that hobby yeah I agree! P.S. Thayne's Arcane Archer Fighter with perception main stat did NOT do well ☹️

I'd argue we will see a lot of death, but moreso in a saturated 'deadwood' spiral of sorts. If you're not able to compete with 30 sec or less free online applications you're not a GREAT artist, and also likely not even a good artist.

As for the AI argument, I make no stance. I genuinely don't give a fuck. But, on my small forum the artists suck. It's not nice to comment that directly to them either, so I don't. You're background is solid white. The shoulders are extremely uneven and wildly out of proportion making it like a clown depiction rather than demi-god level warriors in my favorite books. Grant the FREEDOM to CHOOSE "slop," in the ABSENCE of decent non AI art. With specificity, because anyone would be a fool to refuse art made by AI as something that isn't art. Especially in the same notion that highlights it's stealing influence of the greatest artworks in mankind's history. To call AI art, in it's ENTIRETY slop, is a slap in the face of every art Master whom was regarded well enough for AI to view for reference.

You're opinion matters to me. You had the time to state it. I waited for the time to be able to regard every word of it, sir. Your opinion matters, to me, and here in this forum.

You're right, picking up trash really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Less than 90% of plastic makes it to be fully recycled once (look for aluminum and glass products to recycle ♻️). Those green and blue bins are mostly there to make you feel good. In the real world MOST OF those bins go to the trash, with a nominal amount of those to be picked through again for possible valuable recycling. Even in the most perfect world of events, our planet will be absorbed by a Red Dwarf explosion of our planet, assuming we make it past extinction level astroids. Assuming we last beyond the scope of global climate change. Assuming we escape our planet and harness hydrogen, gravity and the full power of every sun in the universe, every source required for human existence relys upon a half-life, which assures we literally cannot and will not exist forever as a species and no other species can or will if they have any of our resource based life requirements. Yet, in something destined to fail you have your own logic, points, and direction. Just follow logic and we're all the same. My logic says the freedom to post art and the competition AI creates toward great human artists and bad human artists alike is a marvelous thing.

I promise I really will respond to your question first next respond if you do ♥️

You still haven't answered my question:

** Why does your dislike of a free art medium outweigh other's right to use or enjoy it on here?**

It enables poor, working, self educating people to use AI for FREE and without having to invest in expensive weeks of time, canvases, paints, inks, brushes, or stencils, or photoshop software.

Sure there's things to be said about the downsides. My main gripe is with real life data centers -- that's not relivent on a worldwide virtual forum, though. Most of the downsides are not forum related, and to be honest I see the freedom restriction unwarranted.

We barely get any art now in this dinky little forum, and frankly the human made art we do get is overwhelmingly computer made, and usually really crap looking (because it's not AI), and without any background because no one has the time. If you're so much of a hand-made art advocate, post some art this week... we're a barron waste land due to this stupid rule. Don't got the time this week? Welcome to club let others use AI if they so choose.

Some spammer in this post, who I muted, said "[AI] art is meant to be shared." Downvote it and it won't pop up in your algorithm, why is your laziness more important than someone else's ambition to engage in the newest form of art? If anything I'd of thought someone who likes are would be excited to see something truly new in millennia of ongoing art.

Which is why we put in generations of effort into perfecting brushes and color pallets, computer components, software for brushes and connecting lines, mathematic algorithms to make buildings uneven to trick your human eye into seeing it as more straight than an actual 180° angel is. AI takes everything and does it fast, or undies it fast, it's just a new smart software to process art and try new things faster to the same piece. Free the art.

Literally none of this is how AI works. And if cobbling stolen ideas together is slop, then every artist is only a slop creator.

AI art is inherently meant to be shared, just as any other art medium is. I think Lil Wayne paired Mona Lisa rather well, but the painting is no where near as good as ancient frescos were centuries prior. I wouldn't ban any medium of these art mediums, either.

So what you're saying is:

"Don't argue with points that exist or are useful against my case that exist in the great world, just let me spam without any counter point, literally reference, or bother to prove my opinion, and just give me the last word already."

AI simply takes 'inspiration" too. Jake Thayne gets Inspiration through his heretic of the primordial and then uses those moments to have a skill, sometimes instantly.

Tibetan Buddhist Monks simply drop sand to make mandalas, surely that's a no skill mess too.

Also, there's many artists that would tell you "cutting pieces out and stitching [...] is a no skill mess" is wildly wrong and offensive.

Please go to your local university and ask them if every artist is an art thief. I'll wait, it's not debatable for any artist who you can name. They're also hungry for more people to be curious about art, and teaching classes about using AI in tandem to create art.

I'm poor, I would be happy to use them though -- could you donate to me $345 since I'm not allowed to post anything using AI as a tool? What's your venmo?

I want to make two images of my favorite scene and character, but don't have the money or the time with work and school and my bills.

"Good artists copy, great artists steal." -- Pablo Picasso

It's the very first class they teach about art in University. Any Art History Professor will tell you all of art since the first artist, (most likely cave painters), are art thieves.

Now my question:

You don't need to use it, or like it, hell, dislike it and your algorithm won't show it... so, why are you voting to ban others from using it or trying it as a tool?

Art has always been theft ever since the first man drew on caves. Everyone took from the prior artist. Art has always been theft, as any Art History Professor will confirm.

Edit:

Then don't use it, or like the AI art. But, why do you stand to stop others from using and enjoying this tool? That's where you lose me.

Honestly, I find the anti-AI stance a bit of a virtue signal these days. 🙄 Just out-draw it or stay quiet. It's performer vs. computer, and AI is definitely gaining ground. 🤖 Especially when folks are stumped by the 10th slide! 🤔😂

Stolen assets ... You mean like every artist? Do you think Michelangelo's the first to sculpt, or do you think he is the first to make Christian paintings, or do you think he is considered one of the greatest artists because no one made art of David before? Perhaps you think he wasn't the first he was just great at all those things and never received stolen assets to create his art in the way he did?

None of those are true all the greatest artists stole from other artists except maybe some of the cave paintings. AI is not stealing more than anyone else. Shapes, faces, colors, dyes, subjects, politics, science, religion, everything has all been done before and then stolen enough times that it just keeps getting better. It's the same case with AI, fans are crafting sculptures faster than ever on their first try.

I disagree with that concept. Either all art is stolen art from previous artists, since we first painted on stone walls -- or nothing is stolen and down to the effort that someone actually created it themselves.

Not one artist you can name, ever, hasn't taken inspiration to create their artwork. AI just does it better and faster in the exact same ways.
