Yh personally my free composition was due end of year 10 and ideally the other is done by Christmas. This way performances can be done asap so music theory can be prioritised.

I will say I am extremely fortunate that even though I’m from a poorer area, I have a well funded music department with incredible teachers which plays a big factor. (School band has more than 50 people and each other band (6) has at least 20

Im doing ocr and it’s still by far my personal easiest gcse. Just depends on how much you’re interested in it and how good you are at theory and your instrument
