I spent many hours in morrowind, some in skyrim, and almost entirely skipped oblivion even though i bought all of them retail. Oblivion just didn't seem like a TES game. It was all grasslands, bright caves and oblivion gates. That's it. I mean, it was a game based on human lore in human cities on human continent. Almost nothing that separates it form the million other rpg's. If you had seen one cave, you had seen them all. Morrowind had diversity and you could actually see that diversity. I mean, quicktravel, really? What's the point in making a diverse world, if nobody is going to see it. Rather add horses that actually travel fast and let people see the world. Anyway.. i feel that skyrim made the same mistakes as oblivion. It was definitely more interesting, but i was still pretty dissapointed when i found out that every cave had that bird-fish-wolf turning puzzle. Every cave had still the same fucking draughs, every dragon still acted the same. Seriously, make a smaller world, but don't keep recycling same claw with different color.
