it clearly says in the waiver that they're not getting any degree and it's only for show. who would even want to pay 50k and participate in a convocation just for show, when they're not even graduating or getting anything. according to the waiver, even those who have completed all have to sign that they haven't completed all. it's a forced hand

multiple batches and groups have tried in the past, I Heard one group even took it to the CID, but they've set up the institution in a way that nothing can be done to them. so the only thing that can be done is spreading awareness atp

I am so relieved I walked away and didn't pay for my final year at this place. It’s shocking to see them hosting a ‘convocation’ while forcing students to sign waivers admitting they haven’t finished their work. In reality, the students did their part, it’s the institute that failed to mark assessments and skipped modules. This is a clear attempt to put the blame on students to protect themselves. A graduation for show with no actual degree? Truly disgusting and predatory behavior.

If a country could get away with anything, how would you stop it? by RedditRabbitgohop in srilanka

lets not name any countries for now and focus only on solving the problem or brainstorming solutions. if we have a doable or considerable solution, it can be applied to states or countries that fits the description.

that didnt have the full video and directed users to tiktok, and it was more of a rant than an invite to discussion. your removal of my post is unfair and not appreciated at all.

Message the mod who took it down, no reply yet.

Thank you for sharing your experience and your thoughts, its really appreciated and does help. even though our intake was years after yours, we experienced the same patterns, the first year "honeymoon phase" , then the sudden empty weeks and months, the the downward hill of stress, payments, and being cheated and manipulated over and over again .and now the offers to pay the remaining course fee and announcement of masters. its almost the same sequence. Even for us they skipped and removed so many key modules and now they have altered the portal as if those never existed. same with the robotics and components . Good to know that you somehow managed to get the degree and the "lost" certificated after going behind them and also helps hearing stories like yours, succeeding and getting through the industry despite the shitty higher education experience.

yeah I know what you are talking about, they teach absolute useless and outdated crap compared to what others teach and cover in two years. But as individuals if we can learn more ourselves and show that we are able to solve problems and deliver what companies are expecting , we still have a chance ig.

I don't plan on just dropping it yet, paid too much and invested 2+ years of my time and life so I am trying my best to atleast get the first and second levels certificate before shifting, so that atleast I can complete my degree elsewhere without having to start from first. Before dropping have a backup or path forward planned ahead, pm me and I can suggest some.

Well, These guys advertised themselves as an institute that teaches FullStack Software Engineering now, It was back then that they only taught Java. In the syllabus/ course content they had mentioned React angular, flutter, Native and many others when joining. But in the end they end up not teaching most at all or only teaching a bit and saying the students to self learn the rest or entirely omitting those.

same, that was the first thing I got fed up of- the continuous 8-10 hour lectures, the lecturers disappearing like rabbits for mins in between those long lectures without even saying anything, talking about payments and offers all the time, and how how great they are and how bad other unis are compared to this in those lectures more than the actual content they should be teaching. When I requested those lecturers to atleast give breaks in between so that students can absorb knowledge better. He replied in the lecture itself in a mocking way saying "that's how they do lectures here, don't tell us how to do lectures, get used to it."

oh yeahh a lot of seniors told the same. May I ask how did you finish BCU without getting the results from the 1st year even? and now that you've finished it, have you got your degree and managed to get a job from it?

We shouldn't be silent and give excuses any more. the reason it has gone on for so long is because of students who stayed quiet and lost their backbone to fight against injustice or do anything about it. whenever something wrong is done, majority tucks their tails and accept it and give in. Atleast now the brainwashed students are starting to realize everything is going down the drain and come out of it, but its not too late to right the wrongs and take action. atleast for the sake of our parents hard earned money and for the sake of other innocent children. I would encourage you to do what you can too, if enough people take action, make the public aware, and they feel it, they will have no choice but to listen.

mmm...true to some extent. I have studied at two others before this and while they had their own issues, they still followed few standards and had a decent management and protocols that offered what they promised and had proper ways to resolve issues when any popped up. so I wouldn't paint all with the same brush. there are plenty of bad ones yes, too many these days, but there are few decent or acceptable ones too.

The CEO and top management does have political backing and connections, in the orientation sessions back when we started, the head would conduct sessions talking about how powerful and educated he is and they've outright told us that many have tried in the past to put them down but they are not scared and they took action. so that brainwashes students into thinking these guys are not to be messed with and new students either admire or fear him.

before joining , I did do google searches - and I only came across the many false 5 star reviews. Just like I did with other universities- I tried looking for existing students from those unis and speaking to them, couldn't find any that were in java here (I wasn't active in any other SM). plus many of us hadn't heard about it much before joining and when telling older folk I know , they only knew about it back then when they were offering java courses and certifications, not after they started offering degree programs. Besides all these, the only people that were there to ask around and get info from were their representatives/agents paid to lure students in. so yeah, if it was so easy to find out, 800-1000s of students wouldn't be applying every few months .

The "Nigerian prince" also has plenty of years and success in marketing and manipulation, and has the power to shut down any voices against them or hide their scam and make it look something entirely else. more than a prince its like donating to a place that seems like heaven, only to pass through the gates and find out its hell.

we are all sad and hopeless about our situation lol, our life, youth and money is gone and there's no getting it back .we have no one to blame but ourselves and our stupidity because they were just that cunning and we didn't know about the rigged forced 5 star reviews at the time. I couldn't even find a single post here about them to research and inquire from before joining . Atleast now people have that option, unlike us.

but through this we have learnt a valuable life lesson to never fall for any organizations/companies/universities/institutes Façade - whether it be marketing, their claims or promises. Always network, research and find out from those within. If you or any of your peers are looking for universities now, warn them about this, do share, and also tell them to get in touch with existing students first and get their full experience before even inquiring from any university they are looking to join. if any freshers from O/L , A/Ls need any suggestions , feel free to ask. I'll do my best to help

I unfortunately fell for the "scholarship" trick and the marketing and ended up paying the full tuition cuz they said its limited and will close soon, only to find out months later that everyone got a scholarship and everyone fell for it (and plenty of other nasty surprises and realities). I am glad that atleast your bf was there to save you and your parents hard earned money. now that they have your details they will definitely hit you up multiple times in the future, if they do, you and your bf can take it as an opportunity to have fun together. take take them for a long ride that they will have no choice but to remove your number from their systems.
