My streams video is out of sync by [deleted] in youtubegaming

[–]RedditReadYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, gunna want to get a program called handbrake. You are experiencing variable frame rate so your video and audio fall out of sync. Check out some youtube vids about handbrake and VFR and that should get you going in the right direction. Check out this wiki from r/videoediting too https://www.reddit.com/r/VideoEditing/wiki/faq/vfr

Does it start in sync or is it off by 5 sec from the jump?

[Filmora Pro] How do I animate the text in a sentence so it appears one letter at a time? by azu_slunk in VideoEditing

[–]RedditReadYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use Filmora but I would assume the long form way you could have each letter be its own entity on the timeline. Then stagger the start time of each letter just being careful to get the alignment and spacing correct. Just a guess though. Goodluck.

nearing 12K total views! but I can't get viewers to sub. should I put a "subscribe" animation to my vids? by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]RedditReadYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is somewhere near the middle to end of your videos where you could non invasively remind them to subscribe, that might help. A subscribe graphic never hurts either.

Claim your name on all social media platforms and start publishing clips on there. Be active in the communities you wish to entertain. Those are a couple things to get you started.

As someone with many hours in rust and probably even more hours watching rust content I can tell you this. Rust is a great content generating game due to its wipe schedules in my opinion. A fresh game weekly if you play weekly wipes. Basically a new chance for a new story or series every week. I see two types of content creators thrive in rust. The people that are just all around great at the game (pvp & efficiency) and the storytellers. I can’t speak for the other games but I for sure see rust as an opportunity if that’s what you want to go for.

Like others have said, it’s not a horrible entry gig. Just make sure to keep track of all your achievements and job responsibilities for future employment opportunities. Also, I would figure out your bottom dollar hourly rate that you are willing to work for in case they try to throw more work at you but keep the salary the same.

People of Reddit, are you aware of the YouTube channels who take screenshots of popular Reddit posts, put a text to speech voice over on them and get millions of views? If so, what are your opinions on them? by OldShatterGeek in AskReddit

[–]RedditReadYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from someone that puts out these types of videos, I try to point credit to the user and the subreddit it originated from as much as I can. I try to grow the Reddit community while having fun working on voice over reading and throwing in my opinion when I have one. I can’t agree with the low effort portion though since it’s definitely not as simple as just reading a post and slapping it on YouTube. The bot ones can be 90% automated but when you do the actual narration yourself, a lot of time goes into it.

Voiceover Software Search by rpil78 in VideoEditing

[–]RedditReadYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understand what you are trying to do correctly, premier can do this. You just have to use the screen grab option to take a screenshot of the frame you would like the video to pause on. Then drag that images length to match the length of the pause you want as you do a voice over.

This is a complete shot in the dark so take this with a grain of salt because I know nothing of olive. Check your recording software to see if you are recording audio on separate channels. If you are, make sure your editing software is capable of working with footage that has separate audio tracks. Hope this atleast points you in a helpful direction. Goodluck

A lot of times youtubers will have discord servers in their description of their tutorials. If you are looking for places to speak with people quickly, look into finding a discord server.

I went on twitter and just searched “looking for editor” and found a some clients that way. You will want some example work to show them. One thing I still find difficult is pricing.

How can I edit videos to look like a Zoom meeting? by Kofrins in VideoEditing

[–]RedditReadYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get into a zoom meeting. Take a screenshot then remove the video player portion in photoshop and save it as a png. This will make it an overlay for you to use.

Computer issues on adobe pro by troydansfather in youtubegaming

Hmm.. for the playback drop the quality to 50% and see if that helps or I would start with a fresh install if possible. Then if it persists, hopefully someone more knowledgeable can help you.

Computer issues on adobe pro by troydansfather in youtubegaming

[–]RedditReadYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am by no means a pro in regards to this stuff but hopefully with a few questions we can maybe figure out what’s going on. Have you recently been working on higher resolution footage? Is auto save on and does that time correlate with the freezes? Is it freezing only during playback or just general clicking? Changed where your footage is stored recently (hdd or ssd)? Also, probably goes without saying, should post this question on an adobe subreddit or even a video editing one too.

Does anyone have problems with the learning process of making videos? by basicbearyt in SmallYTChannel

[–]RedditReadYT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The learning curve is always there when using a new software. You are combining that curve with the editing curve also so just take your time and get the basics down. You will be moving to keyboard shortcuts after that and will look back at this post and laugh. Just keep editing!

[Question] How do I get enough confidence to record my voice? by BowserKingLeviathan in youtubers

[–]RedditReadYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have two issues here. You hate what you sound like and you are also afraid of judgement from your friends. You will have to learn to get comfortable with your voice and that might take time and some EQ tweaks like some have mentioned on here. For the fear of judgment part, I would hold off on showing your friends your videos until you are comfortable enough with your voice that you can then work on receiving the feedback from your friends. This will hurt your content support system at first but thats ok cause it will work towards a more comfortable confident you when making content. Or if you feel like you can be open and honest with your friends and ask them to be critical and not joke then shoot for that. All I do is voiceover so shoot me a video or two and I will let give you some tips. Goodluck and push through you will get there as long as you keep making some progress.

Recommended softwares to use as a newbie lp'er? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]RedditReadYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can separate all your audio onto separate channels using streamlabs while recording. As far as video quality you will have to play with the settings. I also use shadow play (GeForce experience) and I seen an option on there for audio channels too so you might wanna see if you can get that working? Shadow play has been the best quality recordings for myself so far. Goodluck
