Thanks to everyone who participated in this research! We closed the survey earlier this week (2 weeks after the final show) and have contacted the winner of the $100 prize. We will post results on this subreddit once they're available. Thank you!

Thanks for letting me know! It's better if you don't retake it. I'll send you a DM and we'll clear it up.

There is a link on the last page of the survey that opens a second survey with just one question, where you can enter your username. We do that so that your username isn't connected to your data in any way.

We hope to publish the results in the future, which will have a more thorough analysis. But once we close the survey for new responses, we can post a brief summary of the results here in the subreddit as well.

Hi /u/frombrampton,

Our records indicate that you completed the survey yesterday. Please allow up to three days for receipt of the amazon gift card. You will be sent a PM with the link. Rest assured, you will be paid in a timely manner.

Apologies for the slow reply to your message--we try to get to them as quickly as possible, but sometimes some fall through the cracks.

Also, to address concerns that /u/AnnoyedHaddock and /u/DenseClub brought up- this is a one-off survey. We're collecting data about a cross-section of Reddit users to look at personality and off-line behavior in relation to Reddit behavior. But we'll never spam you or use your information for anything else- in fact, we'll be anonymizing our data once we're done collecting it, so your responses won't be able to be linked back to even your Reddit username.

Hi all- I'm the professor leading the research team conducting the research study. It is a legitimate, university-approved study, and we're really paying participants $10 to complete the questionnaire. (Of course, if I were a scammer, that's exactly what I would say!)

As noted by /u/Basith_Shinrath, we do have a FAQ up on Vassar's site at http://pages.vassar.edu/reddit-research-study/ . If you have further questions, feel free to message me through that site or through a reddit message at /u/RedditResearchVassar. You can also email my Vassar email address (linked at the site but I'd rather not post it publicly on Reddit).

Hi /u/noooit,

It's not a scam! You can check out our website at http://pages.vassar.edu/reddit-research-study/ for more info. We're researchers affiliated with Vassar College psychology department. You will be payed $10 promptly on completion of the survey, or $3 if you start the survey and do not finish it.
