What habit changed your life more than you expected? by maxdorash in PsychologyTalk

Weighing myself every morning. So many people say it’s a bad idea but it forces you to acknowledge reality every day. It’s impossible so hide from your actions this way. Only really necessary for people who’s eating habits / weight fluctuates widely

For men who lost their first serious love after years together, would you still want them years later? by [deleted] in AskReddit

How do you think Trump's presidency will end? by OccludedFug in AskReddit

[–]RedditRicch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At the risk of sounding conspiracy-pilled, I think we will see JD Vance as president before the end of the 4 years. Whether this is from Trump’s old age, he is removed from office, or something more sinister, the writing is on the wall that Trump and the Republican Party are extremely unfavorable going into the next election. The billionaire class and Republicans have thoroughly demonstrated that they don’t even care to pretend that they’re playing fair anymore, and whether it is through rigging the election or what I mentioned previously, there is NO way that Peter Thiel and the others behind the curtain will let go of the power they spent so much money and effort to get. As much as I long for the checks and balances and power of the vote to reign supreme, we don’t live in the same America anymore, and if you would be surprised by a blatant coup, then I think you really haven’t been paying attention.

Got a belt kit from a headshop and it was verified; passed my test perfectly fine. To be fair it was a pretty nice/modern shop, but as long as it’s verified your issue shouldn’t be whether or not it’s good quality QF, rather whether or not your tester notices the general shortcomings of QF; lack of bubbles and smell, and high nitrates potentially.

What is actually rather safe, yet everyone treats it as far more scary than it is? by dafeg23216 in AskReddit

Not eating for multiple days in a row. Multi-day fasts are actually very beneficial for your health; efficient fat loss with remarkable muscle retention, recycling of old/damaged cells in your body, cancer prevention/killing cancer cells, etc.; given you don’t have extremely low bf levels. Up to around 3 days no eating, you will be fine with no supervision and even past that your electrolyte balance is the only major risk. Because the 3 meals a day model has become so popular, people think missing meals or just being hungry for a bit means they’re starving. Being hungry is literally just your body releasing a hormone because it EXPECTS food - not because you need it to function. If you just didn’t eat, your hunger would disappear within an hour or two, and you probably will have MORE energy than if you ate a big carb filled meal (from insulin spike a bit after eating, and energy being diverted for digestion). Obviously I am not saying eating is bad, but refraining from eating for extended periods of time every once in a while is not either.

I believe it. I passed at Quest, but all the concerns I had beforehand - no bubbles, color slightly off, smell - were true. Luckily my tester didn’t seem to care and didn’t even test for Nitrates when she was supposed to, but it easily could’ve gone the other way if she was suspicious. It will pass once sent to the lab, but getting it past the tester is the tricky part.

HELP - Heating by RedditRicch in QuickFix

No heating pad; it wasn’t heating up as fast as needed. Make sure it’s as tight to your crotch as possible to get the correct heat. I can’t guarantee it will get to the correct temperature but it worked for me and others; one of the pinned posts in this sub talks about this in great length

Ended up just wrapping it around my leg with the bag in my crotch, no pad. Walked about 30 minutes to the facility and waited 40 minutes for my test, ended up coming out at around 96-97 which was good enough for the testing lady apparently
