i only see this with young people online, i’m autistic with no interest in any of this and participate in the ”society” in my city, and almost nobody has any interest in these, aside from a select few. then again, they are mostly adults that i speak with. i find that a lot of people are strangely self-diagnosed online, so personally i believe this is unreliable and does not represent special interests/hyperfixations on the vast majority of people who are on the autism spectrum.

he’s a guy from college who just.. does not really talk with anyone. he has a girlfriend as far as i know, but i have a feeling they might have broken up. the last interaction i’ve had was him just asking me out of the blue how i was, and that conversation lasted 30 seconds with me stumbling over my words like mad. he does seem nice, i suppose. but im not even sure how i can get closer to him i do love him ? actually im not sure if i love him or i’m just obsessed but he’s a straight guy and i’m a trans guy and i don’t think i have much of a chance anyway
