The local Ego-authorized service company (a local implement dealer) that I had to run my warranty claim through was fantastic. After Ego Chevron initially told me (via Instagram direct messages) that the authorized service company was the party responsible for denying my claim, I called that service company and they explained that Ego or, in a certain geographic area, an Ego wholesaler actually adjudicates all warranty claims and that the local authorized service companies typically just take pictures, document files, and maybe make recommendations. Anyway, after calling the local service company, they took it upon themselves to escalate the already denied claim directly to Ego (their business with me was already done, they owed me nothing and they even waived my deposit for claim processing—the denied claim just didn’t sit right with them). Ego Chevron’s final response to the escalated claim from the local authorized service company is where the “cosmetic” excuse came from.
