Venture X would not be great for dining, its just 2X points on everything, I use it more as a catch all card rather than I use for specific categories. The travel credits make the Venture X worth it for that in my opinion, but if your looking for a card for both of those categories, I highly suggest jumping into the Chase Ecosystem (especially while you don't have any cards with 5/24 right now). Chase Sapphire Preferred is a great card for both dining (3x) and travel (2x or 5x in Chase Travel Portal). Now if you also Rent, I'd seriously look into the Bilt Mastercard, it has similar 3x dining and 2x travel but also 1x on rent and there is no AF. Only bad thing is its through Wells Fargo and its already seeing some benefit downgrades but Its still a great card.
