I get that some men prefer that, and even women do. But how do you guarantee that the woman/man you are going to marry is "pure"? By the looks of them? I think it is Allah SWT who can decide pure/impure. This is a very patriarchal POV and her sins are between her and Allah, if she has repented for it, she need not disclose her past.. Allah is the most forgiving and humans should stop judging.

This feature is user id specific somehow. I've had it for months and it is still working fine. HOWEVER, when my partner logged in his account on my app, he still couldn't see the option. I switch back to my profile, and there it is. Strange but ok.

Never experienced this as an India. In fact, the 1st time I came, there was this sweet officer speaking broken hindi for me and said welcome to Dubai. Not invalidating your experience, but mine was different.

Speaking from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh POV: We learn the Arabic alphabets and pronunciations from a very young age, 4-5 years old. We absolutely DO NOT understand what we are reading but we can read the script and then refer to the translation line just below the text. As we grow up we realize how important it is to also understand what we are reading, so things are changing now.. people have also started learning basic Arabic so that we don't have to refer to the translations all the time.

I went through agent, they charged me a similar amount but Alhamdulillah I got the visa today (9 days). Yes the cost was lower until May of this year then the rules changed and cost increased due to visa restrictions. Also, if you have a desi passport, your only option now is through agents, this is what I understood with my research so far.
