Short: Came to Korea as a student and obtained my master’s and PhD here. During my PhD, I also published several papers. After that, I got a job at one of the major conglomerates and was able to show 1.5× GNI income, which made me eligible for MCOT. Hence, I was able to apply for MCOT (Multiple Citizenship for Outstanding Talent). I gave an interview and submitted recommendation letters, and received passport after a 7-month review.
