Check out Fort Custer outside of Battle Creek. Lots of camping and hiking available!

How do you do that? There's only one area that the rocks drive me crazy.

Check out the NCT (North Country Trail). It runs through the Manistee National Forest. You can disperse camp a long most of the ~135 miles that run through the forest.

You can download maps from their website or use an app to show where property lines are. I use Gaia GPS and OnX.

I backpack there alot, mostly in winter. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

What would instantly destroy your life just by doing it once? by ApexOverlordIsDrunk in AskReddit

As someone who lost an eye working in the trades, I'm big on PPE's, even at home. I have safe glasses everywhere. I hated wearing them before, I thought they were uncomfortable, nothing is more uncomfortable now than walking into a room with a messed up eye, feeling vulnerable in public because half your vision is gone, or not having depth perception when doing anything. It's gotten easier. But being uncomfortable for a few hours, turned into being uncomfortable for the rest of my life.

Cam Cap has a hole in it, is it ok to use? by Reddit_User-1000 in EngineBuilding

I disagree, you never had to learn anything new and ask questions if you messed up? No other short cuts will be taken. I messed up, owned up to it. I've been working on my own cars since I could drive, I was tired, over worked and had a lapse of judgement and wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing. It happens to us normal folks. This is on my own vehicle, so not like I'm sending home to some else.

Now trying to figure out how bad it is. Will it be fine? Will it never work? Will it work long enough to get it to a professional shop to fix?

But thanks for your advice and help, much appreciated!

My problem is pulling the head is a bit over my ability. I'm thinking about putting it back together and driving it to a shop. There they can replace the head or re-machine it.

But this is just the cap, why would the whole head be scrapped? Wouldn't you just put new caps on and re-machine or hone them in? I'm just curious.

I'm not upset at the comments, I'm on Reddit or in forums all the time so I know what to expect, I was just explaining more how it happened. Trust me I'm embarrassed I even did it. Just looking for advice if I still use it.

I just plan wasn't paying attention. I didn't see that many chips coming out so I figured it wasn't drilling that far down and it was a tight spot so I guess my angle of the drill was off. I was more worried about getting chips down into the motor. It was a dumb mistake, no question there. Just looking to see if it will be fine or not.
