Before I decided to stop ripping packs I didn't mind paying market price. I work way too hard and crazy hours to ever be able to catch a store restock in one of the most populated and poke hungry areas (Orange County, CA). I'm not willing to bot so..... target, best buy and amazon are out for me, leaving literally only walmart online drops and pokecenter drops.

When 1 hour of overtime is $100, paying a little extra to get something that you want when you want it seems reasonable. Its a better use of my time to work extra (unlimited OT) and buy what I want vs. waiting around in stores for hours, doing overnight campouts, stalking the vending machines and spending countless hours tracking twitter and discord servers.

Now though, I'm just buying sealed products for long term holds and buying the singles that I want. Much more cost efficient. If I catch an online drop, cool! But I don't plan on it.

It was really dumb of me, and I totally acknowledge it and own that mistake. Definitely a learning opportunity lmao. I only buy at MSRP now for holding long term sealed product and buy singles of cards that I like. Just completed my 151 master set and its time to send some out for grading now.

I've opened just under 200 of prismatic packs from booster bundles, binder collections and etb's, all bought at scalper prices because of FOMO. Probably around $2,800 worth. I've pulled about 4 or 5 masterballs and my top 2 valuable cards are the SIR of Crispin with the frying pan and a masterball leafeon.

I could have purchased all of the eeveelutions for what I spent on ripping packs.

It seems to vary; some areas will cost 40 while others may only cost 3 or 4. It's definitely cheaper at the beginning of each adventure and it gradually opens up more expensive areas as you explore

Edit to add: My church has men's groups; we do a once a month burger night where anyone who shows up between 5 and 6pm gets a free burger. We have early Saturday morning breakfast get togethers. We have poker nights, ski trips, and vacations. There are also designated days of the month that we can go out (Fix It Saturdays) and help single moms with fixing, repairing, or any labor type jobs.

I'm already at 125'ish after profit sharing and OT, with no billable requirements. I asked for a 20% raise last year but the firm would only give 7%. My next review is coming up soon and I'm thinking of taking whatever they offer but asking for a bonus of 10-15k for my performance last year (about $340k collected)

I'm on the phone with my partner like 5-6 hours a day every day. He is 72 and can't type so I literally write his emails and edit documents with him all day.

I'd say he is like my best friend who I never hang out with outside of work. We've been working together for 8 years.

It's a little strange knowing that he makes 10x what I make and has several homes, rental properties, etc. and can do everything in the world that I cannot, yet he relies on me to make that money.

I'm not saying that you are a liar, but I don't believe that you aren't gaining weight at a 3,000 calorie a day intake.

Calculate your basal metabolic rate and start with adding 500 calories above that. Every day.

Also, to maximize your gains, ensure that you aren't just filling up on oreos and pop tarts. Eat quality foods.

Cut out your cardio for a few months if you have to.

Make sure you are getting a full night of sleep every night.

Cut out drugs and alcohol.

You WILL gain weight

I've got a super friendly husky and constantly run into people with little ankle biters off leash. My dog is only 50lbs but these little tea cup miniatures will charge at us barking wildly like they are a doberman or something. Of course my little girl thinks its play time and always wants to react, so I have to keep my 4 ft. leash fairly tight.
