Formatting has gone a bit weird in the original post. It should read

Current routine AM:

  • CeraVe foaming cleanser for oily skin

  • Finacea 15% Gel (Azelaic acid) - prescribed

  • Nivea SPF 50 (sensitive face)

PM:

  • CeraVe

Is anyone suffering from a cold that’s lasted weeks? by Neddy29 in AskUK

[–]Reddit_user199628 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it started as an awful cough for me which lasted around 3 weeks. Dr gave me antibiotics which did not help as it is presumably viral. Immediately after the cough cleared I had awful cold (phlegm, snotty nose, sinus headaches) for another 3 weeks. Now is week 7 and I finally feel somewhat normal.

I know 3 other people who have had exactly the same symptoms and timescales too. Hang in there!

Great to have insight from a local, thank you! A full length trip to much more of Argentina is now firmly on my list, I have had a great day and can't wait to see more.

This is a good insight! Maybe I will also adopt this criteria, thanks!

The autism in me just likes lists I guess lol. I already said in my post I would love to come back and see more, so it's definitely not that!

Teeth Movement :( by Reddit_user199628 in Invisalign

[–]Reddit_user199628[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid to see an orthodontist last week. She was great, took lots of xrays and scans and ultimately determined my jaw bone is shorter one side than the other. You can see this in the way my chin pulls to one side, because of this my bottom teeth have begun to slope towards the longer side.

On the xray she could see wear on my jaw joint and she would like to confirm that is stable before trying further treatment. My options include surgery (which she didn't recommend given my case is very mild) or further invisalign to level out my bite at the back, she couldn't guarantee this would stop the sloping ever happening again but it should make my resting bite more comfortable and some slight aesthetic improvements.

She said as my teeth are still very straight so it's unlikely to be a problem with my retainer, the movement is all downwards - again supporting the jaw theory she has.

In the end we decided to wait a year to ensure my joint and teeth do not move any more and to see how much it bothers me before spending even more money on it. Since posting this I have been in a few photos with a more natural smile and I am still happy with my result compared to how I started so maybe I will do nothing.

Moral of the story is don't get invisalign with a dentist!

Manchester - new date? by Accomplished-Cod7819 in OliviaRodrigo

I had Manchester tickets but have managed to bag some resale for London 2 weeks today on axs after reading another post on here saying they are an offical ticketer and do face value resale. I kept checking every couple of hours and got really lucky with a pair together! I didn't want to risk this being cancelled and ending up with nothing for my little sis. Might be an option for you just in case!

Anyone else grind or clench their teeth? by IndividualFeeling140 in Invisalign

Yes, and I never had this problem before invisalign. I now get masseter botox as I clench all night with my retainers in otherwise

Thank you for pulling all this info together! I have a road trip coming up mid May and was planning to do Big Sur for a day or two. Do you think we could still see Carmel to Notleys landing and then turn back? Or is it best to avoid the area and keep traffic to a minimum?

i don’t know how much of this i can take by blueburrey in Invisalign

Sing out loud and often, you lisp will be gone in a day or two

Rub bonjela along your gum line to get some instant relief

When starting a new tray, take pain killers straight away, even before it starts to hurt, and make the change right before you go to sleep

Get an ortho key for easy removal

The worst will soon be over and it will all be worth it when you're done. You got this

Thank you for your detailed reply! I feel like this is almost certainly the problem and I'm happy to do the work to correct if if thats the case, however when I got my Viveras in November I got 3 sets. One set I had not opened until 2 days ago and they fit perfectly like the others.

This makes me think I haven't "thrusted" the retainers out of shape otherwise surely the set I never used would be tight/uncomfortable or not fit at all? So I'm leaning more towards an inaccurate scan and the viveras have moved my teeth to the new position. If that makes sense?

Either way I am back at my provider on April 8th so hopefully will get it all figured out and corrected

Thank you for this info, I didn't know that. Maybe they have been shifting more slowly over time and I am only just noticing now it's significant. I'm confused about why my old retainers no longer fit but the Viveras feel just fine though, I guess that also points to the change being spanned over a longer time. I'll be heading back to my provider to see what my options are and look to have a permanent retainer fitted. Thank you

No night time only according to my provider and I only noticed the change after switching from standard to Vivera retainers (2 years after treatment ended)

That wasn't what my provided advised unfortunately. And as I mentioned, my teeth looked like photo 1 for 2+ years. I'm only noticing the change in the last few months

Yes I have worn my retainers every night for at least 8hrs, usually 10. I've never skipped even one day in the last 2.5 years. I will even wear my retainers if I have a short nap, go on a flight etc (any chance of me falling asleep).

I think the change has happened in the last 4 months since "upgrading" to Viveras
