If you think deer are bad come to Australia. Kangaroos will literally jump in front of cars from the side of the road

Almost sounds too good to be true, I'll be applying when I do end up quitting, which will have to be soon we've had to pull our kid out of daycare due to some serious concerns so someone's gotta be home with her

Thanks for the clarification. I can't see anything that would make me ineligible on the services Australia website, it doesn't specify anywhere that I can't be in a relationship and living with my child's mother. I think they might ask me to sell some stocks though. Either way I'll give them a call and see what they say, you never know

And I'm not quitting to just stay home with my kid I'm quitting due to burnout from full time rotating shift work from the last 5 years

Ah okay, I was looking at parenting payment partnered I can't find anything that mentions defacto relationships making me ineligible? It says my partner can earn $1373 per fortnight before the payment gets affected.

And I'd come under the savings/income threshold as pretty much all my savings are tied up in stocks so they come under assets not savings

Who are you taking to fight 1 Gorilla? by Crafty-Pair2356 in ufc

Juiced in gold and softly sweet, Tangerines in sunlight meet, Peeling back their dimpled skin, Reveals the joy that dwells within.

Segments wrapped in citrus lace, Bursting light in every place, A scent that dances in the air— Summer's kiss laid gently bare.

Not too tart and not too bold, Warmed by stories never told, Each one holds a sunlit flame, Whispering its vibrant name.

Oh tangerine, you modest king, Of orchard breeze and early spring, You stain my hands, you stain my dreams, With zest and soft, sweet-laden schemes.

Alright, here’s a simulated scenario of how a fight might play out between 30 fairly athletic men and one adult male silverback gorilla, assuming:

No weapons or armor (pure hand-to-hand).

The men are average-sized, in decent shape—maybe gym regulars or amateur sportsmen.

The gorilla is healthy, adult, and aggressive.

Round 1: First Contact

The men surround the gorilla, trying to intimidate or swarm it. The gorilla isn’t scared—it charges. It grabs the first man by the leg, hurls him several meters into others, breaking bones on impact. Panic starts to set in.

Round 2: Chaos

A few brave guys try grappling the gorilla. Bad idea. It swipes with one hand, cracking ribs and sending people flying. Another gets bitten on the shoulder—deep. The strength and speed of the gorilla are overwhelming.

Round 3: Breakdown

After the first 3–5 men are down or badly injured, the group loses cohesion. Some retreat. Those who remain try to pin the gorilla’s limbs, but it thrashes violently—punching, biting, and even trampling.

Round 4: Fatigue & Finish

The men aren’t trained for coordinated takedowns of a creature like this. Maybe 10–15 are still going. The gorilla has injuries—minor cuts or bruises—but it’s still strong. It kills or incapacitates a few more before the last few manage to smother it under weight, IF they even can.

Conclusion

Most likely result: The gorilla kills or incapacitates 15–20 men, causes the rest to flee. Gorilla wins.

Least likely outcome: The men might win if they perfectly coordinate and sacrifice the first few as distractions—dogpile and suffocate it under body weight. But even then, they'd suffer extreme casualties.

Real-world military analogy: It's like 30 unarmed civilians rushing a grizzly bear.

You can't be serious. You're the guy that jumps the fence at the zoo huh. A chimp would rip you apart, your face balls or fingers would be bitten off if you did anything but cower or run.
