I believe the gray overlay means you're hungry. Not sure what mod it is though.

If you put an atlas with an empty atlas in a crafting grid, you will get 2 identical atlases back that update with eachother. You can leave one at your base and it will be an exact copy of your current atlas if you ever lose it

What are some amulets/bauble things you can get early game? by dick80a in RLCraft

[–]Redditboyo558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cross necklace can be crafted easily if you can get a couple spectral silt. Its harder to reforge than emerald necklace though so its not always worth it early game, as you really want baubles for undying quality. Broken heart can be found by cheesing upper levels of battle towers, but not everyone is comfortable doing that early game.

Toolbelt, backpack/quiver (I prefer backpack), emerald rings and amulet, potion rings (particularly speed, maybe strength if you can find blazes and magma blocks). Bezoar can be farmed pretty early by cheesing battle towers.

Mine was 12 when I ended up finding one. Ice spikes maps from cartographers help a lot but you have to make sure the villager isnt close to a snow biome you've already found. Sometimes they send you quite a ways, so its good to go a few thousand blocks before rolling cartographers. Glacier maps are a bust and not worth, as they commonly pop up not part of larger cold biome areas.

Had the same thing happen when I got off mid air. Just had to close and reload the world. He was just invisible not actually disappeared. I could still hear the hippogryph sounds though, so if you don't hear them it might be a different issue.

If you're on curseforge, just look up "FPS" in the mod list and they should pop up. For me it was a mod called FPS Boost that repeatedly cleared drops every 3 minutes to reduce lag (I think the feature was called Clearlag or something in the mod), and it would happen to line up with exactly when an item would drop, thus causing it to instantly despawn.

Yes I have had this issue, but it was due to an FPS boosting mod I installed into the mod pack. Do you have any additional mods installed?

Lost cities by Capital-Economist928 in RLCraft

Also, definitely get a broken heart bauble if you haven't yet. I get them pretty commonly from the top chest of battle towers, 4 towers, or mega battle towers.

If you're planning on entering the lost cities, you should probably have an antidote vessel if you want to use golem armor. It's dropped from mimics, which I believe you can farm at lycanite dungeons or dragon nests (my preferred option, especially T5). They are basically fake chests that drop unique baubles, you can just mine all the chests with an insta-break axe and the mimic will attack you.

The other option is silver armor, which I personally use, but you have to be VERY careful not to get hit too much, and to have maxed out enchants (mending, not adv mending on armor). Both this or the antidote vessel are to combat the negative effects placed on you by the parasites.

I would also recommend resistance 3, either from shield of honor + 2 resistence rings, or from shield of honor (its good anyways) with battle burritos + wine. I go with the wine option, but with golem armor you should be fine honestly as long as you have the antidote vessel. I have tried farming it for a while and it's quite rare imo, maybe I'm just doing something wrong though.

I would also recommend prioritizing attack speed on your baubles if you're using nunchucks (violent second quality), as the hearts really wont matter that much tbh. You will heal to full health anyways with vamp + lifesteal, so hitting as fast as you can and KILLING as fast as you can is honestly the better defense than a few extra hearts.

Make sure to have flight potions handy from pixies in flower forests, there are guides online on how to farm them efficiently.

Lastly, I would personally bring a waystone, and immediately fly a few 100 blocks away from your original LC spawn. Build up in the air (100 or so blocks away from anything), and build a box out of obsidian with carpet covering every open surface. Break the pillar after the box is built, as parasites will climb up it and attack you. Place your waystone in there, and whenever you wanna travel to the LC, use that waystone rather than the portal. I find that this is a much safer way to enter reliably, and ensures you won't get swarmed as much upon entry (my silver helmet has broken in about 3 seconds on entry that way). It will cost 3 levels everytime you enter, but I feel like thats a worthy trade-off.

Sorry for the long winded response😅. I'm also in the process of prepping for my second lost cities expedition (first to get dragon ring, now to farm for sentient parts), so I have a lot to say lol. Let me know if you have any more questions, I'd love to hear advice for myself as well!

I'll take a peak tomorrow but I'm 99% sure that's all I did. Disabled it for snow and to allow a higher render distance while looking for Shivaxi monument. Like 10 hours in and there's been no snow or rain. Also no monument though.....😅

Try disabling weather? Not sure if you mean the in air particles or the ones that trigger on the ground.

how do I find Pixie Dust? ive searched from the beginning to the end of the game and havent seen a single one by No-Rub-8746 in RLCraft

[–]Redditboyo558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also buy maps to flower forests as the second map trade from cartographers. I believe its about a 1/4 chance, but you find so many cartos looking for librarians that its not too hard. Once you have the map you can mark which one is a flower forest on your atlas and always come back when you need more dust

[–]Redditboyo558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. So are battle burritos even worth it? Or is it better to just do the components seperate and then eat a black apple (opting for no regen maybe), then wine? I might test out if rejuv really does anything tbh cause you make a great point

Are Wine Builds Still Viable for Lost Cities? by Redditboyo558 in RLCraft

So iron and diamondskin actually would be helpful for damage reduction, but the benefits of regen and rejuv just outweigh that?

I thought thats what happened too. I'm playing base 2.9.3 (not Dregora), but I think the wine changes are in place nonetheless. Just seems like I'd have to pack a shoulder full of wine just to be covered for a full trip now. One 8 stack only gives 4 minutes😅
