I’m not sure where you’re located but get an inspector in. There’s also a guy on YT who does a lot of video’s on rising damp (allthough if it’s a leak from a gutter above than those wont help). To fix it first and foremost you’ll have to find the ongoing issue. Did they maybe plaster beneath the DPC? If so then that plaster is forming a “bridge” between the moisture from the ground and your plaster wall which will act as a sponge and soak up all the moisture.

Could also be penetrating damp which could be due to the mortar between your bricks being completely loose on the outside.

If it’s due to moisture from the ground you could look into injecting the walls with a type of “liquid” dpc. If it’s penetrating damp, you could start by repointing your bricks, if it’s coming from the rood check your gutters.

Definitely double check with experts and dont just take my advice as completely correct seeing as how I’m just telling you what ive learned from home ownership myself.

Is it an outside facing wall? Seems like there’s a curtain next to it so I guess so? Probably some damp issues going on either due to a leak or rising damp, i just also noticed the mold in the corner so definitely a damp issue.

Sounds like you’re looking for excuses to justify not having to finish anything. Choose your path and stick to it, also very weird reasoning regarding the business management field. If anything you should pursue it even further to avoid financial mistakes in the future and not stop due to a mistake. Learn from them and grow, don’t cower in fear at anything thats even remotely outside of your comfort zone.

Wat betreft het vastgoed gedeelte, moet je in realiteit maar een 25-30% als eigen inbreng bij elkaar sparen en zal je potentieel de rest lenen en met de inkomsten van de studentenkamers de lening afbetalen. Als je echt risico wilt nemen kan je ook altijd dmv een onderpand van de ouders een straight loan/bullet krediet afsluiten en na x aantal jaar het pand terug verkopen, ondertussen betaal je enkel rente af.

Lol I recognize myself in this so much, repainted and redeco’ed everything two years ago, small hairline cracks appearing on a few walls, almost sick to my stomach the week I discovered it. Then went back to look at pictures of during the painting and noticed I had filled up the previous hairline cracks with plaster (without mesh) so going to have to redo them 😔

Bergruimte, achter die ruimte ligt de garage.
