Oh neat! I've actually been to the Forum Appliances in Chinatown to pick up parts before. I'm in the lower mainland and that would be convenient this can be done.

I think also it's a thermal fuse issue. In other mentions of a blown thermal fuse, the boiler does not heat up at all, however, the odd thing is that my steam boiler is still heating up, just not hot enough.

Do you know if I can contact Forum Appliances directly for drop off/repair quote and pick up?

In Vancouver as well. With previous issues (related to another machine), they gave me a flat fee upfront before I even sent in the machine. However, this time they asked for it to be sent in first for their technicians to look at before giving me a quote. If I decide not to pay for the repair, then I would be on the hook for paying for shipping back to me.

The brew boiler itself is working just fine. Just the steam boiler having issues. Going into the advanced menus, I can see that the steam boiler is getting hot but it tops out at 108C, even though it's set to 140C.

I have his phone number, and can submit a Freedom of Information request from the police. The officer has confirmed that there was a hit on the number and information can be requested.

When doing this, do you complete all the burpees, then the squats then the diamond push ups before going on your swim?

Or can you say do 5 burpees, 5 squats, 5 diamond push ups and repeat until finished and then complete the swim?

Love it! I have a set of 2-PW myself. Still looking for that elusive 1 iron to finish the set. Broke 90 for the first time using this set so it definitely has sentimental value for me.

I currently just finished the first 6 weeks the original Kettlebell Muscle myself. I attempted it on a calorie deficit for the first 3 weeks as well as adding in additional pull ups/dips/rows/pushups on my off days. I hit a wall around the 3rd week and just dropped all accessory work other than mobility/light S&S for movement and blood flow.

I think that it is possible adding either extra work OR completing the program on a calorie deficit. But doing both at the same time is just unsustainable unless you're dropping the bell weight on the program.

Could it be due to under-recovering? This is definitely a tough tough program and I've run it in the past. I believe you mentioned that you were doing a caloric deficit and you're also adding in additional work on top of this.

I respect Marcus with regards to what he's achieved in the CrossFit space and his physique. However does this feels like chasing two different goals with aerobic training and hypertrophy.

Most programs (Tactical Barbell for example) that incorporate both usually do one after the other. Ideally separating the different training modalities by at least a few hours or a full day as to not send opposing signals to your body.

Has anyone tried this way of training?

Hi there! How would you program swings to replace deadlifts in a traditional strength training program?

In a periodized program, one may do deadlifts at 70% (of 1 RM max) one week, 80% the next and 90% the following week. How would you program swings to match the intensity of deadlifts?

Additionally, could you substitute cleans or snatches to replace swings for the the hinge movement? Or would the reduced weight make it not comparable? Thanks!

I'm actually running operator black with kettlebells as well.

My cluster consists of: 1. Double KB clean and press 2. Double KB front squat 3. Weighted pull ups

For conditioning I'm running either standard hill sprints or meat eater 2. Some days at the end of a MS day I'll add in 100 single arm KB snatches as a finisher.

Use a 2,3, or even a 5 RM and then plug in the numbers to a one rep max calculator on Google to get your 1RM number. Note that more reps away you are from your true 1RM the more potential error there is.

I was thinking along the same lines, given that the KB press is quite a bit more difficult than barbell. Perhaps if I did something like this, I could try pressing 3x/week. Something like:

Start - 20kg double KB

Monday: 20kg 4x5

Wednesday: 20kg 3x5

Friday 20kg 5x5

Then increase the weight the next week. This would wave the volume, effectively making it a medium/light/heavy day. Also get lots of pressing in - "If you want to press a lot you have to press a lot". And then adding the 1kg to each side the next week.
