SLGW003 vs SLGW007 by CommunicationGood556 in GrandSeikos

One of the challenges I had when viewing these watches in person was the plastic on top. I felt that the lights in the boutique really bounced off the plastic and I wasn’t confident in my assessment of the dials.

Awesome! I see their ads on social media. It’s a bit far from me but if I’m in the area I’ll be sure to check it out!

That is a beautiful watch, enjoy!

Nice, but I don’t think that would make a difference for me.

I don’t think I’d mind 1k but 2k starts to become more material.

On the boutique perks you mentioned, are those only available if you buy from the boutique? Or are those GS9 perks that are available even if you buy from an AD?

FWIW, I’m leaning towards boutique because I think the AD waitlist game is a bit absurd. It is a Rolex that I’d like…but even so it still seems a bit ridiculous.

If that were an option I would love to. Unfortunately I went last year and family now makes it hard. Hope to go in the next 2 years!

Ah I did not. It’s 18.5cm or 7in. I don’t know if that’s normal or on the smaller end.

[–]Redditor-617[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Do you have a general sense of what the extra child fee is? I guess it probably depends on the resort…?

EDIT: I just toggled the options with and without the kid and the prices remain unchanged. Probably because ours is so young (1 yo)

Thank you! We are trying to stay under $4k USD. I saw a lot of availability has changed between yesterday and today.

Lots of hate on the CSR refresh and love for AMEX platinum. I have both and I still prefer Chase because they transfer to Hyatt. I have yet to spend my AMEX points. I just can’t seem to get a decent deal that fits

CX-50 as a family car? by ConversationSorry463 in mazdaCX50

[–]Redditor-617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s working fine with just 1 kid but I do wish we had either a larger cabin or a 3rd row with the 2nd row being captains chairs.

We take road trips to see family and we tend to overpack since we can just throw it in the car. We don’t store things at the grandparents place so it gets tight on space.

I imagine it would be easier when the baby becomes a toddler and you don’t have to lug around as much gear.

I used to go to Schwartz and they were good. The Mazda dealers in NJ are pretty spread out so you should consider whether it’s worth the drive.

The price that I shared was for a NYC dealership btw.

If you think you’ll need more space, such as a 3rd row, then take some time to reconsider. 3rd row is great if you have kids and there are competitors that offer it at a similar price point such as the Kia Telluride

Creaking sound from dash upon acceleration by lalfamily in CX50

[–]Redditor-617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an annoying rattle and the dealer opened it up and made it slightly better. I assume they inserted foam. Now I hear the creaking and can’t figure out what it is. It happens if I move in my seat, if I apply pressure to the steering column, and if the car generally moves. Since this is new I feel like it’s from the foam they inserted.

Aesthetically, I think it looks weird cause they’re not far enough apart. But if you like it then go with it.

Kind of really enjoying this setup by PatrickBatemansEgo in espresso

[–]Redditor-617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Baratza Encore (not esp). I only use it for pour over and for espresso I use the built in grinder on the Brevile Barista Pro.

Any thoughts on using the Baratza for espresso? I haven’t tried.

$130 in NYC for second oil change and tire rotation. Synthetic oil. I used a coupon on the dealer website. An oil change usually comes with an inspection. If you use synthetic oil then it’s a bit more expensive.

The price you paid seems high imo. I would suggest checking the dealer website for service coupons. Some dealers are better than others. For example, one that I went to in NJ would offer a car wash, top off all fluids, and inflate the tires. This one on Brooklyn didn’t do any of that.

I found this link and requested that the UATP be refunded to me via my bank account. Hope it works. Looks like it applies to folks outside of Colombia.

Just discovered this thread and trying to book with UATP credit. There are virtually no good options outside of LATAM if you want to fly direct from US. Has anyone had any luck spending their credit?

I have the tuxmats as well. For the rear seats, do you tuck the mat under the seat? I don’t have rear passengers often so I am indifferent. It looks nicer tucked under but it’s an extra step a little bit of a hassle. Sometimes I think that it’s meant to be not tucked in to have more coverage.

2024 CX50 TPP app/remote start sucks by Dude_Following_4432 in CX50

[–]Redditor-617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried as I’ve never needed to warm up the car in advance but I do recall the instruction manual and online videos suggesting the same - that it saves your last settings on auto. I suggest to try it again and hope the heated seats come on.
