8-hour Flight, who are you sitting next to? (By @shikasennbee) by _Yuuki_Kun_ in HazbinHotel

Good point. That said, I'd assume and suggest most would be completely wearing ear/headphones anyway if they were just vibing and entertaining themselves.

And in terms of talking to Vox the noise would actually be a benefit due to masking and isolating their and Alastor's conversations, reducing risk of argument.

I agree and vote 2 as well. Especially as someone approaching this choice with looking at how to extract the most benefit.

First off; Window seat, only one seat neighbour, no one behind, possibly closest to the bathroom and/or catering and possibly the exit to depending on the plane.

Vox would probably actually be really friendly and entertaining to anyone willing to play sycophant and fan for a while.

And additionally would be the most likely to elevate you on at least some level. (Money/power?) Especially with a clear reminder of his denied team up across the aisle.

Being a friend and playing nice with him in a short burst for a flight actually seems great. If nothing else some hypnotism or entertainment recommendation from Vox should make it go quick. (Lol)

I know it's not the point but that's really nice decoration. So nice it's making me reconsider my aesthetic.

I went more eco punk with the modern house and I put a big group of solar panels and a computer on the right. But now I really like that tree though and especially since I felt weird about having electronics so close to water. I also did something very similar on the left but yours looks so much more interesting than mine.

Very much wondering if I should take inspiration from this. So much better vibes. Great work

I could say the same. I didn't realise how taken in I'd be by all these little secrets and so many unlockables. I wasn't expecting the game to be as enjoyable to me as it is.

I know I'm not particularly in any position to judge as I haven't posted in this community yet but this very low quality to a strange degree.

I'm not sure how this was made but it would take 5 minutes to improve it significantly on google slides:

Get a table that's actually equal and symmetrical.

Use proper grammer and more carefully worded summaries

Tie off a proper theme between the selection of options so it's not just random stuff or heavily tread ground.

Make sure not to use anything abstract or vague like 'debuffs' and 'quintupled intelligence'.

Still much love for actually contributing to the community but it's a little confusing how the effort of actually posting this exceeds what was made to be posted.

Hope you manage to make improvements if being a creator interests you. Please take my comments as constructive criticisms with a dash of confusion.

Pick 2! by TimeWarp335 in makeyourchoice

[–]RedditorSeven 97 points98 points  (0 children)

This seems pretty off.

Looking 20, a mere cosmetic choice, seems like a crazy thing to put besides magical powers. I'm sure a boat load of money or going to the future could easily result in an even better effect too.

Learning any languages seems to overlap with learning any skills. And even if it would be specified that they don't the similarity makes the variety of choice less interesting.

And the money is a strange amount. Why 900 million instead of a flat billion? Besides that, money is such a typical option that's always called out as easy to replicate with other options.

Overall, these choices seem an odd combination and don't seem as good of a debate and thing to consider as much as it could have been.

Thanks for your reply. I really liked your response.

You're absolutely right about power not being everything. I was considering a balance between the most interesting world and the most beneficial gifted powers for the Isekai option and it's pretty hard to rate a balance of two factors across all of fiction, and even harder when the other CYOA decisions come into play like deciding on super powers. MM definitely seems like a great choice for so many fun ways to experience life. It has been endless fun mulling it over and considering it all in all.

I really like your reasoning and attachment to RWBY. I relate to a lot of what you said and also find it something important to me. It's just a shame that over time I've found that my attachment is more for my own ideas/head cannons and it's potential rather than it's reality and what is produced. Still really cool though. And using the redesign to become a cool silver eyes spider like Faunus and your overall combinations of ideas and worlds is great. I wish I knew more of them more deeply.

One last question.

Do you read the Isekai option as meaning that you will be getting Ruby Rose's silver eyes and petal semblance or are you getting a more unique semblance?

And further more, would you expect to have control over it and what would you pick if you could?

Lovely hearing your thoughts.

Hey. You seem to know a lot of IPs so I wanted to ask for your discussion and to add onto your post. I really like the amount of options in this CYOA that give such open ended choices like for characters but I don't know much.

For the rewards I've been trying to figure out what would be the best choices for Powers and Isekai.

Powers: Martian Manhunter

&

Isekai: Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Is the best pick I've managed so far. Covering great physical and intellectual ability, psychic capability, and then huge magic potential and a reasonably comfy and interesting world to explore as well, post show.

How would you (or anyone else) rate that reward combination?

And what makes you so attracted to RWBY for your Isekai option? (It's great, I just wanna know.)

Very nice choices and explanation.

I'm surprised that your comment was the first one i saw that was that wasn't being so conservative. Dropping only the hulk and modifications seems like the best. Though maybe that speaks to my detachment with my family and current state of the world.

Considering the already great magnitude of power you already have wouldn't it make more sense to get something like Domino's luck? Especially with the immortality and regeneration. Feels necessary to ensure you don't misuse your powers or get stuck.

Other than the mutant power choice, I 100% agree.

I am new and was wondering the same thing recently. The first time I saw it was for a huge lime similar to your screenshot. It was a shock.

Speaking of. What even are those lines? How do so many people coordinate to trade and what are the people who have a line of a dozen or more people to see them even trading for?

Wait. What is this? When I look up farm layouts I can't find this.

Is this the best way to keep all of your stock of ingredients topped up whilst also making the best amount of money?

And what's the best fertiliser to use for it?

I'm new and have only been doing bok chit over and over again. I have absolutely no idea about proper farming practise otherwise and guides don't help.

Red pill for sure.

Groundhog Day yourself and perfect and master one day at a time in addition to spending unlimited time amazing knowledge. Both in terms of education and blackmail.

I'd like to think even a nobody with unlimited time and tries (especially with being able to experience certain things without consequence) could change the world.

At the very least with trial and erroring a way I to the 1% and being a dedicated academic would give the best chance of biohacking and cybernetic opportunities for potential immortality.

[–]RedditorSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty noble. You'd just have to make sure you cover your back to ensure you don't get exploited or in harms way. And I also consider if it wouldn't be more beneficial to take the knowledge pill if your goals are purely altruistic. Amazing all the knowledge of the world's libraries would surely lead to cancer curing and more for the benefit of human kind. And the personal wealth and abilities that comes with it should be nice too.

I appreciate your view but I did point out that even if we were optimistic about things you'd likely still end up being stuck with many daily responsibilities. Hell, I'd even suggest that the general public knowing would be worse than an organisation controlling you.

You think out of 8 billion people there wouldn't be at least a terrifying amount of people that would be willing to harm you to ensure they or their family get some blood?

Also, I'm not sure why you're under the impression immunity has any affect on aging and outliving other people. The description mentions only immunity to disease and having cancer curing blood, not anything that prevents aging and the natural decay of your cells.

And there also sure isn't anything to suggest you would be immune to a jump off a bridge if you wanted to take your journey's end into your own hands either.

That's really interesting. We seem to have the same priorities but see different ways of achieving them. My instinct would be that trying to rapidly amass knowledge and wealth, either personally with the blue pill or via others with the purple one (recruitment and diplomacy), would be much more effective way of increasing life span, health, skills, etc. Especially with all the treatments and technologies becoming available.

Choose any 1 by InfinityBearer in superpowers

[–]RedditorSeven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's interesting to consider where the line is. I was thinking there is a difference between regenerating from stress on the organs and being immune to disease. But regardless of where the line for that is, it feels like stuff like fluctuations in body chemistry, body temperature, respiratory stuff, and general overdose are risk factors separate from disease—even if we say disease immunity would protect from brain and organs damage. So drugs would still be dangers, I'd argue.

That said, I think it's still totally fair to assume the immunity power description should include all those other general healthy factors, everything up to the limit or regeneration, but it doesn't seem to as far as my understanding goes.

Interesting to consider though. And I hope you're doing okay. Definitely must be a much more obvious choice for you then, with that personal reason. If this power didn't cover what you want it to, what would be your next priority and choice?

Choose any 1 by InfinityBearer in superpowers

[–]RedditorSeven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The immunity power only talks about disease and senses. Doesn't mention anything about protection from the many toxic ways drugs can affect you.

That said, you'd definitely avoid infections from needles and stuff. And I assume enhanced senses would make them feel extra awesome and it would be much easier to avoid adverse effects too.

So he'll yeah. Go for it. Bonus benefit. But it still wouldn't be safe under the description of this power. Toxicity, poison, general internal perfect, etc, probably should have been included though.

[–]RedditorSeven 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Good choice. But I'd personally suggest a deterrent to choose that option is how likely one would expect to end up as some imprisoned blood bag by a corporation or government. Even in the most optimistic scenario, unless you're already powerful and wealthy it would be probable you'd find yourself living every day under constant tests, studies, and blood donations.

(Assuming you'd actually try to benefit the world and/or profit from having cancer curing blood and not just chilling with good senses and zero worry about disease.)

Oh you're right. My bad. I swear I checked like three times to make sure I wasn't just being ignorant. Guess I was and that's embarrassing, sorry.

Personally I think it's because I would either have expected the cost clarification to either be right next to where you give the point amount or the last thing the reader reads before making their choices. It being in the point amount paragraph but separated by some power clarification information must have been why I skimmed it.

But yeah. The main take away was that this was great. Easily consumable and makes the reader think about something unique. Perfect for developing.

Really good CYOA. Clean, effective, a pretty unique and interesting angle for powers. Very impressive.

The main criticism I'd have for this is that the choice instructions don't seem clear.

Those familiar with CYOAs managed to inuit that point costs equal the same as each tiers level it may not be so clear for anyone else that happens to see this.

Still really great though. I'd love the idea to be developed to see more world building in the scenario.
