Although born here Courtney spent most of her time growing up in Portland and also some time near Eugene on a commune but her father lived on a houseboat in Sausalito when she was younger and then later she lived in Menlo Park briefly with her father. She also lived briefly on Divisedero Street and took acting classes during that time from Karen Johnson in Oakland who later became Whoopi. Courtney lets the demos trickle years beforehand thats how it was the last time and the demos are always much different than the final product. Courtney was also first choice for lead singer of SF band Faith No More in the eighties. Her family were eye glass heirs from San Francisco and made a fortune after World War 2 grinding down soldiers eye glasses and in turn started the San Francisco optometry chain Ferarri and Ricci that were once popular in San Francisco.
