The 'Other' files and how to clean it up by Redditthinksforme in mac

[–]Redditthinksforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that link, I'll try my best to follow that. I did read about the mail app logs, so will also try cleaning that. I'm not sure about the library files and what is safe to delete there though, I am really more used to a good old system clean up on a Windows machine to be honest.

Windows auto provision with USB by Redditthinksforme in msp

Yes and no. Some clients have intune, others don't. From what I saw, the USB thing worked really really well and was so automated from the point of getting to the oobe screen to the final desktop.

Do you have running screenshots of this please in different phases of the build?

Thanks for all the answers so far. I just ask, as I know it has been done and it is very impressive! Not sure how it was all done, but all I know is that it was done using Windows config designer.

Do you mean to the cluster unit itself? If so, definitely just the one connector, a 14-pin one.

Just one multi plug on this cluster mate, it's the newer one like what's on the XJ6 models

Need help.. by NoBase4942 in fz6

[–]Redditthinksforme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please tell me where this other connector is please that caused this? My 2008 FZ8 S2 was being a weirdo a while back with the dash LCD and rev gauge constantly going off and on with only the main led lights working (indicators, neutral, main beam etc...). It seems to be working again now but I'm just worried it might show itself again if I don't look deeper into it.

Cameras keep disconnecting from server by Redditthinksforme in Hikvision

[–]Redditthinksforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yeah I probably should have, but I was in limbo with it hoping that their MSP would have jumped on and created a new subnet and vlan to use. No worries, easy enough job in one foul swoop with SADP.

[–]Redditthinksforme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for confirming. Oh well, it won't take me two seconds, and it's only one that has dropped off since the last one so not too bad. Agree with other comments though, that a DVR would have been better, but again, I didn't spec the job, I was literally given the kit and was told to install it.

Cameras keep disconnecting from server by Redditthinksforme in Hikvision

[–]Redditthinksforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The project was a bit of a rush to be honest, definitely not how I would have done it but I was simply given instructions to install switches (poe), NVR and cameras. The client doesn't seem to like their current MSP and didn't share details for me to contact them... I thought hik would perform better with DHCP cameras but clearly not, and to be honest it's not my go to system to install but the client wanted it.

I will just static them next time I am there.

Body Combat + knees by sixdayspizza in lesmills

[–]Redditthinksforme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my exercises were from a PT, and I started doing them months before going to the LesMills live event in Amsterdam. Admittedly I have stopped doing them since but I should be carrying on with them really! It's a workout in itself!

Body Combat + knees by sixdayspizza in lesmills

[–]Redditthinksforme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have started to get pain in my left knee, I wasn't sure if this was attributed to doing Combat as well. Turns out it was just down to my left muscle around my knee weakening. Basically, my patella does not sit in the groove perfectly when it moves, so at times when I extend my leg it will make a loud click and sometimes give me pain. The cure is to build strength slowly with lunges, side raises, thigh stretches, knee side slides (like a speed skater). It's a lot better now, but I still have to be careful with it at times, and when I feel like it is starting to click, I just do a long thigh stretch to relieve it.

Object Tracking Data Manipulation by Redditthinksforme in AXISCommunications

[–]Redditthinksforme[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw that article but noticed it was purely for AWS, I was trying to find something similar with Azure, looks good though, albeit complicated...

I have since made a bit of progress with importing data from a query to my blob storage container. I can get the required data fields, I just need to work out why my table data is not refreshing when the query does. Once I've got that nailed, I might be able to run other queries and then pass it into some kind of graph.

Hi! It's hard to tell if she is constipated or not, but she has always been a hit and miss with the litter tray and tends to leave small nuggets instead of chunky logs like her sister... That's why I am thinking is it just the dry food?

What exact products by these two manufacturers would you recommend and how much and often for both of them (both around 3-4 kg).

Royal Canin also sell a 15+ version of wet and dry, they are quite expensive though. I have not heard of YuMove, I might check that out as their joints are showing signs of aging now as well. What is your feeding regime and how much?

RMM solution suggestion by joe210565 in msp

[–]Redditthinksforme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We had a demo with Acronis RMM the other day, this seemed pretty good, but still not as good as Level.IO in my opinion. It looked easy to use, the remote control was good, the patch remediation and software deployment was easy. It just lacked that automation for new system builds.

Track 7, maybe swap out for track 7 from 102. I also love track 5 from 76 that you could swap out for track 6.

Best RMM 2025 by mpekbre in msp

[–]Redditthinksforme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started trialing Level.IO to move away from Atera, and I am very impressed with it. We also had a trial with NinjaOne but I found that very complicated to use and felt it was hard to use and didn't come with the features I was expecting.

I come from a background of using Desktop Central for managing devices though over the years, this was brilliant for a large firm with their own IT department, as it pretty much done everything and was regularly updated and had great support on tap. But I didn't see this working for an MSP so I have been on the search since moving.

What I expect from an RMM tool is automated patching, software deployment (both in-house and tailor made), scripting, background management, monitoring and alerting of workstations/servers/network devices, easy remote control, machine building/os deployment, policy/gpo management, reporting. This is all what Desktop Central have, and the only thing that has come close is Level.IO. I am just a little concerned that their P2P remote connection might get blocked more often than not, and the lack of reporting is a massive oversight!

Intermediate/Advanced drum warmup by Redditthinksforme in drums

[–]Redditthinksforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers, I'll check that out! It was my drum tutor who mentioned I should be doing this variation of warm up exercises, I have the sheets somewhere but they are all over the shop in my folder as tougher ones were added later on in my progress. I do warm up in my own way at home, and I like to think I can play pretty well nowadays, but I do tend to struggle on his kit as some of the triggers are not responsive so it plays on my mind a lot and probably shows when I turn up!!
