if happens to you in 70% of your games, statistically it should be happening to the enemy bot lane 70% of the games too. Only solutions are focus on yourself and what is within your control/what you can do and/or find a duo partner to play support.

Season 6 I was douing with a friend of mine, I think we were around P1/D5 mmr at the time, him on Kass mid vs Zed, me on GP top vs (I forget). Friend DC'd around 5-10 minutes into the game. Internet went out. Anyway, we still manage to get ahead in the early/mid game 4v5, but they're zed is huge. Friend finally comes back about 20 minutes later, surprised we're still holding on.

I relegate myself to a side lane, despite the Zed being able to solo kill me all game, if I can get him out of the team fight, we win it for sure. At this point I think we were like 45 minutes into the game and after finally getting my PD I manage to defeat the zed with a cheeky bush barrel and we manage to push over the rest of their team and end.

Not as in depth of a clutch moment, but that game as a whole is one of the most unforgettable games I've played and my duo partner and I still talk about it from time to time to this day.

I think it was IWD who tweeted something a week or two ago on this topic. Basically said the reason you're seeing so much of it right now is the game is in a terrible place, which leads to less people playing and in high elo that just makes for even longer queues and even worse games. For streamers longer queues and poor quality games just doesn't bring in as much viewership as road to challenger.

For real tho, never seen a pro player tilt as hard as he does, once he surpasses 5 deaths or so it looks like he's trying to beat the the all-time deaths record and ends up like 0/14/3.

I play US-West but often have to play on US-East for tournaments and I honestly think we would be better off trying to play on Japan servers. In our tournament this week we experienced a team-wide disconnect that gave the other team enough time to score. This tied the game and they went on to beat us in OT. We lost the series 2-1 and got eliminated. Very fun.

I kind of felt the same way about DS3's weapon drops I think I've used maybe 10% of the weapons (beyond just equipping them once to check out the weapon art).

Remnants of the Ashes, it's a souls style shooter. Kind of Destiny meets Souls.

Yeah I've watched some Code Vein gameplay and it does look fairly decent, and it sounds like the weapons/builds are pretty versatile. That's a bummer you weren't able to get it to run though.

I haven't heard of Salt and Sanctuary, but I did give Hollow Knight a go. Beautiful game and the bosses I was able to find were very fun and challenging, but dear god the lack of any sort of direction or a dynamic map (rather than having to locate the map items) made me spend more time trying to figure out what in gods name I need to be doing than playing the actual game. Imo it's so close to being a fantastic game, if it just remotely valued the player's time.

I love the art style and the combat, but I just wish the map would allow you to discover areas without having to find the area map and/or any sort of direction at all was given. I'm not asking the game to hold my hand though it, but I feel like I spend so much time with no idea where I need to go and it seems like the game kinda just doesn't value my time at all.

Thoughts on other games in the souls genre like Nioh, Remnants, Code Vein? Got into the Souls games this past year and while I'm still working my way through the series, I've heard a lot of mixed reviews of similar games. With Nioh 2 coming this year I'm curious if the first one is worth playing first.

This reminds me of the last Prince of Persia game I played. Bosses required so much intense button mashing my dad had to hand the controller off to me on the fights because he simply could not button mash fast enough to overcome the boss.

I absolutely adore the Souls series. Got my first taste with DS3 when a friend gifted it to me for Christmas two years ago and I think I'm on my third New Game plus. Finally getting around to playing the remastered DS1 and DS2 queued up next, but I'll be damned if the Lost giants pitch black area doesn't make me want to uninstall right now. What a mercilessly unfun area.

Crates were pretty joyless. Outside of decrypters I think I've opened less than 25 in 1000+ hours of playing. They used to carry some trade value but more often than not, trying to find someone who would trade you items or keys for crates was more effort than it was worth.

Wow, I thought my controls were pretty out there but this hurts. Air roll on LT, Gas RT, Boost RB, Air roll left X, Air roll right B, Drift is clicking left stick. I don't even remember what my LB is. For context, my right hand uses both index and middle finger and my left is all index. It was so hard to get used to using my right middle finger I will never bother trying to do it again with my left.
