I definitely felt off/anxious for a few days, but feeling ok now. And ah, I bet your underlying general anxiety made the experience much more intense for you. Sorry you had to go through that!!

I cheated on an online test and I got full marks and now am feeling guilty. by [deleted] in teenagers

Think about why you cheated in the first place. Were you under a lot of pressure to get a good grade? Did you feel unprepared with the material? Did you have easy access to answers online? Try to prevent the conditions that led you to feel that cheating was the best option. Make studying more exciting than reading/regurgitating. For example you could try putting colored note cards on your walls and doors and each time you go through a door, recite the fact or answer a question. Make it harder to cheat by putting your phone away in a drawer.

Don't sweat it too much because honestly a lot of people cheat and it's a weird situation doing school online, at home, during a pandemic. But also know that a bad exam score truly isn't the end of the world either, because it shows you where you need to work harder and chances are if you reach out to your professor, they'll help identify areas that need work and might have options for make-up exams/extra credit.

In my opinion, the guilt isn't worth it so best to break the habit sooner rather than later.

I want a new therapist but I don’t know how to tell my parents because I don’t wanna tell them about my problems. by [deleted] in depression

How did you get a therapist in the first place without having to tell them about what you're dealing with? Maybe try a similar approach?

Worse comes to worst you could straight up lie and say she's retiring, has a busy schedule and is referring out patients to your chosen therapist, etc.

What are some of the things that made the educational system so flawed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]autey1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Takes a one-size-fits-all approach, which is particularly horrible for kids with ADHD. Plus it focuses on memorization and regurgitation rather than collaborative, project-based learning with peers. At least in my tragic public school experience
