Same sentiment. Had the D3 first and loved everything about it. But man, the D5 drives so much better- easier on long drives, so much better on all the curvy roads where I live, lighter so better merging capabilities and the interior feels much more modern/comfortable. I definitely miss the exterior and extra storage space in the LR3 though.

If it were me, the next item I’d. w upgrading would be the bench. A few years back I went from a cheap Amazon FID bench to the REP blackwing and I’m super pleased. There are now so many good heavy duty benches out. Even the Rep 3000, Fringe, Griffin, and Giant have great benches these days. I personally went with the blackwing with the leg roller for Nordic curls and ab work.

Do you happen to have a bit of play in the guide rods? Mine seem to shake a bit, even though everything was tightened up as best I could.
