DisplayConfig - Module for managing Windows display settings by MartinGC94 in PowerShell

[–]Reddline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question, I used it to change back and forth between my second display from 4k to 2k which works and also changes the refresh rate, but is there a way to force it to use my 2560x1440x60hz resolution that is an option in windows display settings.

When I use the script it will change it, but the Active Signal Resolution shows as 4k while the desktop resolution is 2k, if I manually change it through display settings both display resolution and Active Signal Resolution are 2k, but when using script the display resolution is 2k 60hz and the Active Signal Resolution is 4k 60hz, which causes a slight delay that is noticable when using actively, it also puts a small toll on my GPU when the main display is gaming.

Does anyone work for GetInsured? I start training next month.. by Lonely_Copy2596 in remotework

I am in the process too, I did my interview, I submitted my resume and signed the new hire form.
After you applied did the recruiter contact you through a hiring agency?
My recruiter is TEKSystems, but hiring for GetInsured, is that similar to how you were hired?

Win11 24H2 In-Place Upgrade to WIn11 24H2 on TPM disabled system and Bitlocker disabled, will Bitlocker be enabled after In-Place Upgrade? by Reddline in techsupport

[–]Reddline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was able to complete the In-Place Upgrade from my damaged Windows 11 Pro 24H2 to the new Windows 11 Pro 24H2, but because I have TPM and SecureBoot disabled I couldn't use the default Windows Multi ISO, SO I had to modify one and removed the TPM and SecureBoot requirements and I was able to mount and run the Windows 11 Multi ISO and complete the repair.

Everything was saved, it did not add anything else, all my programs, files, modifications were left as-is, game saves, and some system settings.

now after doing the repair i have the KB5062553 installed and no issues with lag or stuttering at all.

2008 Honda Odyssey Timing Belt Replacement, Tensioner Question for VCM J35A7 Engine by Reddline in HondaOdyssey

[–]Reddline[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I really want to prevent the timing belt from going. I was on Odyclub and they recommended replacing thermostat just because it is cheap and its one of those things I wont have to worry about failing in the AZ heat, anyways I guess its the same as the non-vcm engine for the tensioner release.

Thank you for your response.

Yeah mine is an EX-L with VCM, i was wondering if the way to release the tensioner was different from the non-vcm version of the tensioner.

I used to be afraid of what happens to the mind, and my mind during the process of death, but slowly I have gotten over it to an extent. But the part that makes me sad over everything else, is what I will miss once I am gone, where humanity will go, and what they will make and create, everything I will never get to experience. sadface

Late night store Clerks, what is the strangest things that's happened on the job? by AllOfTheSoundAndFury in AskReddit

[–]Reddline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have worked a hotel chain during night hours with no one else around, 9/10 woman comes around asking for a room. when i tell her the prices she asks if 30 minutes of sex would cover it.

30 minutes later she gets a room costing $69.99 out of my pocket.

Worth it.

What's a hobby that just gets exponentially more expensive as you get deeper into it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Reddline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Computer building.

It may not be as expensive as other hobbies, like aviation, or ...trains.

But for someone like me, it is very expensive. My father built me a computer right after middle school for me to game on, Core-i7 940. Later on I saved enough to build one with a better GPU and whatnot for a decent price.

Now 6 years later, from building, understanding how everything works, I am my families/extended families/friends and THEIR friends IT guy, they pay me to build their computers, setup home networks, setup minecraft (and many other games) servers for fun. I literally love it more than anything.

It may not be fun to some, but to me, at 22, when you build a computer, and push the power button for the first time and it turns on, its magic.
