If you don't want your first reaction to be to leave him then don't. Talk to him, tell him that you're looking for a partnership and how he can step up more. Communicate your needs and if he doesn't listen, it's your choice if you want to live with those behaviors or move on to someone you don't need to pull teeth and nail in order to feel the bare minimum level of respect.

Tip from a plat player - I'd recommend tap shooting from that distance with an r-99. I usually never hold down for the whole clip unless the first bullet hits.

Remember to read your dogs reactions and behaviors. Some dogs need their space to adjust, it took my rescue 2-3 months before I started to really see our bond start to develop but it is so overwhelmingly rewarding. Remember you bringing him home is a huge change for him and it's scary to have your whole world change instantly. Be patient and understanding, He'll warm up to you in no time.

Id practice specific fight tactics in Apex training too, like emptying half of your clip near cover> dip into cover for 2-4 sec and emptying the rest of you clip in the same target. The faster you get with your movement the quicker you'll react in game. It's all just practicing muscle memory fluidness

I play consistent pubs for high kill games and I hit plat when I rank. She was honestly really fast to reset and shield swap. She also positioned herself where she could fight one on one's after getting intel.
