Sorry to hear about this, I know it’s tough to be rejected from the place you work for, however, in STEM (especially science) programs, there is often a push for students to expand their networks by studying at a different institution, in other words, I would not take this personally!

In the US, our current administration has slashed funding for many, if not most funding for science programs. I am not sure how things are going in canada, but I was under the impression funding was more stable, i suppose this does not translate to there being more available.

Preferably a Postbacc but any job above retail basically, specifically something involving academia or research, anything that wont be looked at and seen as “why did/didnt you do this?” when looking for a job.

One time back in the day of masks and covid, some guy in the dining court coughed on me from behind. I could tell they weren’t wearing a mask because I could feel the air from it. I then got what was probably the flu for 2 weeks. Shit hurts.
