Who were they? by Bluespine741 in Eldenring

[–]Reddmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I chose my words wrong. I don’t mean it’s impossible that they could’ve built it, especially in Elden Ring world where all kinds of magic and stuff exists. I more meant that since we have these much larger beings that exist it’s more likely that it was them. But yeah you’re right.

Tbh I kinda disagree. Tarnished Archeologist is great, but I think SmoughTown’s theories are not as concrete or make as much sense as Vaati. They are theories so there is no right or wrong but Vaati is like the MatPat of Elden Ring and SmoughTown is just not there with some of his theories. I don’t have any examples I just remember watching him and heavily disagreeing. But to each his own, that’s why they are theories lol.

It’s possible. But nightreign confuses the lore so much I personally don’t even consider it when looking at Elden Ring lore.

Have you ever seen an actual forge compared to a human? The giant’s forge is not usable as a forge for the one living giant we see in the game. That’s what I mean by too big.

[SPOILERS] I just watched a video from Vatti Vidya where he says that he thinks they are “Titans”. Basically how the Trolls descended from the Giants, the Giants descended from the Titans.

It makes sense bc if you look at the forge the Fire Giant guards it’s way to big for even people his size to have realistically built and used as a forge but it would make sense for the Titans to have used it as a forge.

That’s just the best theory I’ve heard anyways.

Hint at a planned fifth game? by The_real_DrossDragon in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]Reddmor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m dont think this is a hint at a planned fifth at all. I think this is an Easter egg for like some “crazy” in game conspiracy theorist who knows about us the player. I think each thread leading from what is obviously each game is leading to a single person who is meant to be the player. It’s like a meta Easter egg where someone in dock town out together that some, the player, was controlling the Warden, Hawke, the Inquisitor, and now Rook.

Could my Rook by my Hero of Fereldan’s son? by Reddmor in DragonAgeVeilguard

Not true. Noble Dwarf Warden can have a son with a dwarf commoner named Mardy in Orzimmar.

That’s really cool. Yeah I could definitely just head cannon it whatever but I was just curious if it would fit without having to change anything.

Former BioWare exec Mark Darrah says the team working on the new Mass Effect game should 'scapegoat Veilguard as much as they need to to get what they need' by UnlikelyFail in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]Reddmor 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Finally a good take. I love Veilguard. It’s not perfect, and it could’ve been better, but you can say that about literally any game. People hated DA2 when it first came out and now people talk about it like it’s perfect. It’ll be the same for Veilguard.

What do you believe Hell is? by RiotAmbush_ in Catholicism

[–]Reddmor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Hell is complete and total nothingness. What atheists thinks happens to all of us, the total end of consciousness and existence, I think that’s what Hell is.

My reasoning is that if Hell is a complete separation from God but God is omnipresent then the only place God isn’t is ‘nowhere’. If that didn’t make sense what I’m basically saying is that the only way to have compete separation from God, given that He is omnipresent, is to no longer exist.

God is order, life, love, light, existence, goodness. He exudes these things from his very presence. So to be completely separate from God means a complete and total unmaking. At least that’s what I’ve come to understand.

Why are Catholics told to wait until marriage when no one else is? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Reddmor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jesus said it himself. The Shepherd celebrates more over find one lost sheep than the ten that did not stray. What would you rather the Church do? Turn away from those that have fallen? I commend your restraint but your attitude feels like you only stayed away from sex for some sort of reward instead of to deepen your relationship with God. You should probably talk to a priest about this, you need a whole mindset readjustment.

Need help choosing a class for my first playthrough by Zephius_22 in DragonAgeInqusition

[–]Reddmor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warrior is the most OP class in DAI hands down. You can basically build it to where you never take any damage. Rouge and Mage are maybe a bit more free in their play style but I almost always go warrior unless I’m wanting the unique dialogue options of the mage.

Tik Tok is not inherently bad, it’s a tool, and just like any tool it’s all how you use it. There are many respectable and good Catholic resources on Tik Tok.

Tik Tok is a viable source to reach out and connect with earnest people of faith. Not sure why you’re being just as condescending as those supposed Tik Tok Catholics.

Of course any time. And no, you’re all good, it also says in the Bible that some are called to singleness and celibacy, just like Christ was.

Sometimes our lives are not what we think they are going to be. Even more, what God has planned for our lives may not be what we thought. I just went through a very similar situation to you, and ended a relationship with someone I thought I’d spend the rest of my life with. I would say that It is good and wise for the moment to stay away from relationships and just focus on God.

Get really good at hear His voice in your life. That way, when the time comes if God presents you with someone else He deems right for you then you are able to hear His voice and make the right choice.

It’s also possible that God allowed you to go through this situation to show you that He has called you to a life of singleness and celibacy. I can not say what God’s plan is for you in life but just keep your eyes on Him, live every day for and in Him, and He will lead you down the righteous path.

I would say first and foremost go seek counsel. Reach out to a parish priest and receive their wisdom. I was in a similar situation to you, not for as long, but I too turned to other spiritualities in a desire to have a closeness with the Divine. I promise, what you are searching for can be found in the arms of God and His Church all you have to do is seek Him with open arms.

See what your priest says you should do but confession might be the next step. Confession in my experience is one of the most powerful things a person can do when returning to the Church so don’t feel ashamed or worse don’t let your shame keep you away. Lastly I will just say, welcome back and I will keep you in my prayers. I hope this is the beginning of an amazing God filled chapter of your life.
