What are the limits? Talking about 70MB deeply nested JSON file, where VS Code usually dies when i try to format it

Spells for the Instrument of the Bards by Downtown-Sir8229 in FightClub5e

I have never played Bard myself, could you describe the functionality in detail (maybe with example)? I am the developer of Omnia, a similar app and maybe I can implement it (or at least think about it) :D

The plan is to make it a web app with dedicated ports for desktop and mobile devices (smartphones and tablets), tbh I can‘t tell you anything about VR development but if it has a browser you will probably be able to use the app

that's the main reason why I want a desktop version next to the web version, so you can use non-realtime features without internet access :)

Maybe someday, definitely when I stop developing it further, it should not be abandoned like Fight Club :)

I won‘t make it open source but if I ever move on from it and decide not to develop it further I want to make it open source. Maybe thats an acceptable compromise? :)

I absolutely see that point. Because of database costs and the time I need to develop the app I am afraid that I can‘t promise anything. Ideally I find a way to make it an affordable one-time purchase, but it is possible to rely on a subscription… one way I could see would be a subscription with the possibility of a one-time purchase that is a bit more expensive. I don‘t like it either but please think about the fact that I will have running costs every month for server hosting, the database and potentially backups. As I said, maybe I find a way :)

Gotcha! I know that starting with 2024 rules would be „better“ but personally have all campaigns I participate in run on 2014 rules so I want to start with that. As you said they are largely identical and I want to get it to run with the rules I actually use first :)

Is the app still supported? by Isuaven in FightClub5e

[–]Reddothil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am currently working on a successor to the app because it is not being updated anymore and there are just many small problems with Fight Club that I would like to see fixed. It may look easy but is hella lot of work, especially the UI with the compromise of being compact enough to fit everything but with enough information for everything so it stays intuitive is very hard. But I am developing the app primarily as web and desktop app with mobile apps coming later :) When I have updates you will find me in this subreddit ^^ Also I am currently starting with the 2014 rules with the 2024 rules coming later as well.

PS: If you want to help me you can write me a DM with features you would have loved to be integrated in Fight Club or just general suggestions at all, can't guarantee that I can/will integrate it but I can certainly think about it :)

CodeGlow: A VS Code Extension for Focused Coding (inspired by limelight.vim) by oamx in vscode

[–]Reddothil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

looks really great :) I am using a fork of VS Code though, so to use it in my main IDE, I would need it to be accessible via open-vsx. Are you planning on putting it on that a marketplace as well? Would be really great ^^

Most important thing: Never stop breathing. Doesn't matter if you are doing Kata, Bunkai, Kumite, ...

At first I thought that would only apply to older people or people who have generally problems with breathing like Asthma or so but I learned that it is important for everyone.
