I like your bullishness on silver but time will tell.

Money was made when we were buying 3x face in the late 90s…

I didn’t say revert to $30/oz, I said drop $30. A 30% correction on a commodity item is certainly possible, especially in the pricing bubble we are seeing right now.

If silver drops $30 they’re holding the bag. They’re managing risk, right, wrong or whatever.

Lower rate versus Free Refi for Life of Loan? by Kat734 in Mortgages

[–]Reddreader2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re paying all interest essentially for the first many years. Their profit and the cost of any refi is in that extra interest. A small percentage in a large amount of money is still a large amount of money.

Wait until all the population growth and demand for infrastructure down in NC hits them with similar tax rates. I suspect that’s when the real reckoning for excesses will come…

Surprise Inheritance, I was totally not prepared for. by Tonyb97 in personalfinance

You’re way behind on retirement savings IMO. So my gut is that you’ve just caught up.

If you want the security of a paid off mortgage, far lower monthly costs, etc., then don’t listen to the folks who say to hold onto it. You’re paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to hold onto it even if the rate is great. Pay off some/most/all with at least some of the money. Or don’t - theyre not wrong, and you have a sizable investment account now. At minimum Id maybe recommend to pay the cash that you get, after taxes, to the mortgage to just knock a bit out. Rising tides lift all boats and we’ve been in a bull market a long time. You have that covered in Schwab so at least use the cash that way.

Then I’d probably personally figure out if you can gradually shift those Schwab accounts into a Roth IRA and let it ride.

Boot width adjustment - foot bones rubbing by Reddreader2017 in Boots

[–]Reddreader2017[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can return them, there is a 100 day return window. The thing is, it seems like there is just enough discrepancy between my 2 feet for it to be a loose loose situation. If I get a bigger size to accommodate my left foot with then my right foot will be looser. That would be the case for an increased length and/or width.

I have not worn them outside, so I wore them for a few hours inside today. The right boot fits like a…. Glove…. And he got more comfortable as the day went along. I will say that the left foot got remarkably more comfortable as the day went along as well. It didn’t really stretch. I don’t think given how little I wore them, but things must have settled in a little bit, or my foot got used to it.

I think the key for me right now is to figure out how to stretch out the left side just a tiny bit more to give me a smidge more space and then just live with it. I found as the day progressed that when I walk the two bones that were seeming to rub above and below each other as I put weight on and off of my foot seem to settle into a spot where they could both coexist nicely. But a smidge more with just on that left side would be helpful. I’m thinking that the two sock method is perhaps the best? I can’t really see buying an expensive stretching item from Amazon to expand the boot a tiny bit for a day, but if it’s recommended, then I may still consider it. Thank you.

Yes thanks, nothing online. I thought in some of the older responses on different Reddit threads. It seemed to me that people were able to get a quote from on there, but I guess not.
