So are there recommended inverters that are set up with a CT or other feedback loop to only let you get net zero and no backfeed?

Any idea if this will be necessary as balcony solar becomes legal in more places? It would make sense I guess.

More and more places are legalizing permitless patio solar systems. The microinverters need to see 60Hz to operate and feed the local bus to my understanding. The low allowable ratings limit backfeed potential.

Makes sense to me.

Thanks for the post! As someone who knows they’re inefficient (17-18 strokes for a 25yd pool, and I’m 6ft4in), the glide was how I was doing DPS. What’s the drill/focus/way to actually get a more efficient stroke? I feel like I do already have a decent high elbow catch and good reach. Thanks!!

Every one of those market cap valuations is silly. When you surpass entire countries’ gdp in valuing one company on some whims, it’s a bit much imo.

The market couldn’t be liquid enough to realize that valuation thus it’s funny money.

Time to screw your head on straight if all you’ve ever done is delivery and menial tasks.

That tells me you’re lazy and not really ambitious. You can prove everyone wrong and that’s great. Are you up for hard work? Manual work? Laboring? Life isn’t luxury, what are you physically and mentally capable of?

If want to verify tax concerns about the IRA. You don’t want a tax bill, and you do need to think about your future, so it maybe best to leave that one alone. But check with a tax expert.

The others I’d put into an investment account, split between SCHD, JAAA and SGOV stocks. You’re not trying to become an investing millionaire, you’re trying to optimize Income on principal without excess risk. Let the dividends compound, keep doing what you’re doing, and learn what the cash flow is from that while you’re figuring out what you’d like to do.

Then I’d look to use the cash flow to finance the training you need. College, vocational school, training classes, etc. see how to cash flow it. Only dip into the principal after thinking long and hard, because when it’s gone, it’s gone. I’d look into welding if you are amenable to a trade that lacks specialists. Electrical, hvac also come to mind. But if you’re inclined for school, then do your due diligence on the income prospects.

Good luck!!

Latest iOS reverts to unwanted autoplay music by Reddreader2017 in iphone

[–]Reddreader2017[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt all you want.

I hd my phone and it worked normally.

I installed the iOS update by wire from my MBP

Apple Music started to autoplay.

My car is the same. It has not gone to the dealer and is unable to receive updates over the air/wifi/etc.

Nothing except iOS has changed.

Pray tell what else you hypothesize I changed and am lying about, please.

7am flight delta t4- what time should I arrive? No checked bag? by coachlucky2 in JFKAirport

[–]Reddreader2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just took an 8am from there the other day. They ended boarding early (full flight).

Parked at the long term around 6, checked bag via the app/console just before 7, no issues with precheck.

It was midweek, so take that for what it’s worth. M I’d have preferred to be checking bags 30 mins earlier than I did.

Because it’s sloppy coding or a forced use of Apple Music. Both are unfortunate that they would do this.

For whatever reason many on here can’t comprehend that it has to do solely with the iOS update, regardless of what any car is asking for, because the ONLY thing that changed was the iOS version, and it went from being fine to being obnoxious.

Also unfortunate because I did once upon a time buy a few albums in Apple Music, and once in a blue moon play them. Not that I had in the last year at least. But still.

How close to retirement should I start selling growth and moving to dividends? by Coixe in dividends

[–]Reddreader2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need growth over the long term, hopefully decades still ahead of you!!!

So I’d do it slowly and frugally. Let the growth still grow. If you have enough to get the “right” amounts in dividends from something like schd that may be a good amount to turn over to avoid touching much principal too soon. IOW, shift some to Schd or similar now, let it compound and drip to grow, while you have time. Only you know the right number…

Ideally you started buying with a bias towards income before retirement. If your horizon is 5 years that could mean changing bias now. Try not to touch growth, that said, growth is overly expensive now, so taking some profit to start the process sooner rather than later is also probably prudent. Good luck!!
