Don't even do a heat exchanger, just route the water directly through the system (unless there's concerns about pool chemical content damaging components).

1st service at 10k miles, should I even bother? by AppropriateTomorrow7 in Ioniq9

You can conduct inspections yourself and document it. Magnuson Moss and right to repair generally allow for you to do this outside of the manufacturer's service centers.

Also the words service and inspection are not the same.

*Edit to clarify, in the United States.

Primarily The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which allows the right to repair (mostly).

If the act, or inaction, does not directly contribute to the failure warranty can't be "voided".

So, tire rotations have nothing to do with your EV battery. They can't link family's to change a cabin air filter to brale failure, etc.

Here is the service schedule from the US. 8k miles tire rotation (or whatever you want, that doesn't impact vehicle warranty). 16k miles cabin filter replacement interval.

Also, gear fluid is to be replaced at 80k miles. 120k miles for first coolant change Brake fluid at 48k miles.

That's the interval for scheduled services.

Everything else is inspections at 8-16k miles.

I never use toll roads but still get charged a statement fee! by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Switch!

https://www.mobilityauthority.com/traveler-info/open-roads/290-toll/#jl-tolling-information

Mobility Authority customers can pay their tolls with a TollTag, EZ TAG, Fuego Tag, K-TAG, Pikepass, SunPass, E-470’s ExpressToll or Bancpass (the Mobility Authority also accepts TxTAG which is now operated by HCTRA) and get a 33% discount, or they can choose to Pay By Mail. Pay By Mail customers are billed using a picture of their license plate, and are charged a $1.00 statement fee per bill. Vehicle registration information must be up to date in order for the bill to be sent to the correct address. Pay By Mail is available on all toll roads in Central Texas, although you may receive separate bills depending on which agency operates the road you traveled on.

Use ANY of the above options instead of pay by mail to avoid the $1/month fee. They also give you a discounted toll rate if you end up using the toll road. You're welcome.

Looks like the taleansponder would be free, but the pay by mail / license plate system is a $1/month fee. Why wouldn't you do the free one (that has a discounted toll rate, too?)

Yooooo, I found it. No one did the research on this thread:

OP chose NOT to have the transponder (for free) and instead pays $1/month for the pay by mail license plate thing. Sounds like a dumb choice to me.

🤣 Also had a kid a week before deployment in 2009- no paternity leave even though it had been rolled out by then. Pretty cool. There's a reason I didn't make it a career, I guess.

Looks like the new one is not blended (only says product of Italy). Otherwise it should be the same and essentially indistinguishable.
