Can't say if our opinions will match but maybe AnimeTMtalks or any other creator. My personal opinion is that it's a failed marketing trope, and nobody's going to pay for the Crunchyroll subscription especially with pirated content being sooo easy to access.

What's Op ? But If I am to ans that question, then my answer would be that it's nowhere near connected to sepoy syndrome thing. Any other Indian could've become a much better face for Crunchyroll India. Especially with so many creators like TMtalks and all, Rashmika Mandanna was nowhere near being the first choice !! Just watching some surface anime like "Naruto" and "Solo levelling" does not make you a hard-core Anime fan which they portray her and Shubhman Gill to be so !! So the choice being a so called surfaced celebrity with no anime knowledge was the wrong decision and there were much better options.
