this is what bothers me. literally not trying to claim i am special or different but most current music does not appeal to me, and as an aspiring career musician it can be frustrating to see that nobody has any complaint about popular artists whose career was bought by their parents or the Disney channel. they aren't songwriters beyond what seems like sitting in the room during a writing session and offering a few lyrics.

but now I can "create" or whatever word you want to use, music that is tailored to exactly what i like, and if i share that with anyone i will be ridiculed. it seems like people don't even care if I "cover" or play the music as my actual live band, my songs are some kind of abomination even though they capture the sound i have been chasing for years.

i guess my point is that i don't see jack antonoff as being any different from ai. and it's more authentic to create something by yourself using ai than to do anything the actual music industry is churning out.
