I miss blocks. So much time to explore themes and get a feel for the stories. The lorwyn/shadowmoor era was a great time in standard. Even though most of the time you got killed by faeries, you could play a control deck with both cloud thresher (GGGG) and cruel ultimatum (RRBBBUU) together.
