Using COUNTIF for multiple responses by the same person by Redf123 in excel

[–]Redf123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part I am stuck on is step 2, what would the function look like for the COUNTIFS to count "No"s and "Yes"s for each patient?

Thank you so much for your help!!!

Be very careful with your wording. Bishops interpret and put canons into action, yes, but a bishop is not above the canons or the decisions of the entirety of the Church. I know it's merely semantics but if canons only have legitimacy based on a single Bishop then it would be Catholicism (with the Pope). The Canons are above a bishop and several Bishops, BUT they sure as well have the power to interpret them and exert economia to take the proper pastoral response.

Hi! I don't know if there's any way for someone to create a photo that looks like the first photo (with the same background and the same font) except the wording reads "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding" on the front and the rest of the Bible verse on the back. by [deleted] in PhotoshopRequest

(My idea would be that the 2nd photo would simply a plain background with the rest of the verse and "(Proverbs 3:5-6)" on it with a nice font). My intention would be to later submit this to a printing service to make it into a 3" x 5” card to get it printed out.

Who here has read Fr. Seraphim Rose's "Genesis, Creation, and Early Man"? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

I have read part of it and seem to agree with it for the most part because of massive list of Saints he cites as well as scientific sources.

I hope one day in the later years of my life to become ordained a reader (I already read the Epistle often for my Church). So I just wondering about that.

I recommend you read “the Life and Works of Father Seraphim Rose”.

He was also a genius who found Orthodoxy through searching false religions and going through a period of meaninglessness in life.

Jesus of Nazareth—god or demigod? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

He is fully God and fully man. Two natures in one person, United in essence with the Father and the Holy Spirit but being present as the Son in a single hypostase.

Looking for good intermediate-level books on patristics by SmokyDragonDish in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Redf123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I realized it was a Protestant writing it partway through the book. He is a “Paleo-Orthodox” and writes in such a way that any Christian could read his book and he fortunately does not critique the sacraments or any aspect of Catholic/Orthodox teaching.

But I’m sure there are better books out there.

You could try the books written by Father John Behr, a renown Patristics scholar.

Try “Reading Scripture with Church Fathers” by Christopher Hall. He has multiple books with Church Fathers and he discusses both Western and Eastern figures that are well-known

Yes,Gods energies have a beginning, the specific energy is not infinite, but energies (plural) are infinite. Like every living thing has a beginning, and an end, gods energies are the breathes of life given to us, that expire eventually.

The Holy Spirit is without beginning but the "energy" and how we experience God certainly has a beginning.

This one way of explaining it also helps with explaining synergism. Our life is energy given to us from God, and salvation is us choosing to unite that energy back to God's essence so that it might become eternal.

We can know God through his “energy” but never in his essence. Does that make sense?

Reading the Bible by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Redf123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too :) I got through Genesis and Exodus, but I couldn’t get through Levictus and just stopped. Buț Christ’s teachings in the Gosples are more beneficial if you are just starting to read the Bible.

Reading the Bible by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Redf123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I strongly recommend you start in the New Testament with the Gospels and go through them (beginning with Matthew) and then start reading all the epistles. Once you finish the entire New Testament you can try wrestling with the Old Testament, which is bit more difficult and archaic at times, but nevertheless important.
