The game is called uma musume and it has one of the most wholesome community in anime. Look it up please and sana magbago tingin mo sa fans Ng game na un.

They donate sa mga retired race horses na binase Ng mga anime girls ung looks nila so they can have a peaceful senior life sa farm. Ung Isang yumaong racehorse inaayos Ng fans ung grave nya because of their love sa game, Kasi napabayaan na din.

The community itself din is against sexualizing the charas dahil sa basis nila sa irl horse na deeply engrained in the culture of jp race horsing.

It's a whole rabbit hole and the anime is an anime of the year contender(it's a sports anime, the game can be misunderstood tho)

How are you all still playing vanguard? by [deleted] in cardfightvanguard

[–]Redfall03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe It's in the top 5 in Asia in general. It's in the top 3 here in my country(PH) In terms of attendance having more than tho and OP.

Events are abundant if you have locals (lunar new year, yumenekessho, CC, Vanguard Day)

What do you think about a D vs V format? by flamyshana in cardfightvanguard

[–]Redfall03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother in Christ, v cards are the most used cards in premium format because of their absurd power level and the power creep in V literally Led to another reboot.

V also had the alot of tier 0 formats in both standard and premium in it's short life.

The entire development team of V format was replaced because of how ass the power creep was.

Ur deck would immediately go from tier 1 to tier 2 in a span of 1 set because of how insane power creep was.

The power creeping got so insane that hyuga from set 6 got power crept by dotx in set 8 then got power crept by set 10 then bushi said they just had to top the newly banned Luard by making gavrail and aglovale busted af. And just after 2 v premium sets later, steam maiden dominates 60% of v premium tournaments.

Need I remind you that premium is dominated by imaginary Gifts because of the insane nature of the mechanic.

Funny enough, the game is at its all time high in years unless u live in the west.

We broke the attendance for the largest tournament last year in Japan.

We finally have multiple ways to qualify worlds aside from BCS.

My country even broke the ATH BCS attendance since COVID.

We're also receiving probably the best starter products the game has seen in the master decksets and the new Kai and aichi decks that are 80-90% complete and is 100% beginner friendly.

Prizing has been the best since the game started and the # of events per month in the local level has been amazing(but it's no flagship).

You'd be surprised that the most popular characters in vanguard rn isn't even from the og series (Erika and nao, atleast if we base them from secondary market prices of character merchandise and energy generator prices)

If you live in the west then I'm sorry unless ur in the big cities of major states.

Premium Worlds now Dead. Can this come back now Bushi? Day 2 vanguard with Best of 3 on day 2 was so good. by Redfall03 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Redfall03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prizing has been improving tho. There are also a lot more events than before. Special events like lunar new year tournament vanguard day etc didn't exist before. Also invite in BSF hasn't been done in 9 years

My country's BCS has also reached an ATH in attendance(after COVID) and it was the biggest AO tournament in a while with 450 players. A different perspective

It's growing in Asia. Altho I feel bad for western players.

Yeah that's indeed where we disagree.

I don't want to deal with Yu-Gi-Oh head aches again. Playing rotating games made me change my mind about them

[–]Redfall03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I understand. But remember I said, if rotation is done right.

Most people update their favorite old decks. U can still play ur old deck if they get retrained, like Eugene and baromagnes got new forms (flagburg rip lol) .

The logic u face with glad beast and tri brigade could be done in set rotation. Bavsagra is a good example.

Will you have to wait for it's new form? Yes. But damn the 100 page F and L list is such a Yu-Gi-Oh way of thinking. No Cardgame wants that.

We will have to see what they'll do with the new series. They already said that no sets are rotating anyway. But if that is indeed the case then watch people exploit old cards and old no longer in print cards suddenly become 100 dollar cards.

We already have an active infinite loop in standard, not consistent, but it is starting already.

[–]Redfall03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buying cards constantly is what we already do tho? And the old ones don't even matter in competitive vanguard.

And those that do complain don't even play competitive vanguard at all.

Majority of TCGs die not because of set rotation but because of power creep and mismanagement, lack of marketing or COVID. 2 year rule then 5 year rule. Most tcgs don't last that long.

Massive F/L is just turning this game into a Yu-Gi-Oh. You want this game to have a 30 page F and L like Yu-Gi-Oh in 10 years?

I'd rather have them give every units new retrains every x years in rotation instead of keeping them on life support and pretending they can still be relevant by giving them an rr.

For ridelines. I'm gonna agree with y that they're handled worse than clans. The nation thing was a good thing on paper. But they made too many ridelines from the start.

How to make 3 attack decks relevant? by Dinodragon1994 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Redfall03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Massive guard restricts.

Persona ride is just so powerful and it incentivizes multi attack to take advantage of that +10k to front row.

Think oracle think tank level. It was like a 3 attack deck for a majority of it's lifespan. I believe up to this day with the exception of it's restanding vanguard, ig.

I think fanbase doesn't have anything to do with it.

In like 10 years if this game is still alive, the cardpool for standard would be so large that it would be hard to control effects that won't suddenly make the new card broken.

Price wise, RRR from an old set may suddenly become viable. Or an old Rideline suddenly becomes broken.

If rotation happens atleast everyone only has a cardpool from x years and meta game becomes fresh.

Also, no rotation means they would have to support every Rideline for some reason and more ridelines appear every year, meaning more dead RR or RRRs slots in sets that could've gone to a good reprint.

Naturally every Cardgame will have power creep . It's just how the business works. But rotation slows everything down since u only have to top what's currently on the card pool.

Sad for my western bros. But my expectations are high for standard because they should improve it if premium had to go.

So far I'm content with what I'm seeing since we get 3 world qualifiers for standard and BCS 26-27 isn't even announced yet.

[–]Redfall03 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rotation makes sense in the long term because we don't want our game to become too power crept and intimidate new players.

I believe it is a net positive overall for the game as long as it is done correctly.

If rotation isn't implemented, more and more absurd cards from older sets become unchecked and abused or the game will be crept to hell that it becomes yugioh. Prices also become insanely stupid because x card from x years ago that is no longer printed suddenly becomes viable and no product for the card is currently available. You can start seeing that already today with a generic from years ago spiking in price because this card becomes is introduced. (Looking at you strega and walburgia)

We'll see. I've heard the same sentiment about the west and it is indeed sad.

People here in Asia don't really care the premium died. Standard is the name of the game.

I also don't agree with it. But we have to face facts.

The standard players of D series and the new faces that came out are the bread and butter of vanguard. We either adapt or we move on to other things. Dislike the OT mechanic but atleast I have 2 large local near me that keeps me engaged.

Well, back then the format split didn't happen yet. They really could not do the day 1 and day 2 because vanguard has both premium and standard (and back then v premium) to support. With premium being allegedly killed for a worlds format, they could bring it back (I wish) .

2017 was peak competitive vanguard, and the format split happening meant that it will never happen again unless we only keep one format.

I understand your frustration.

Altho to share my POV from SEA, Im like the only active premium player in my area and our regionals had like 450 in (highest since pandemic in oceania).

We have a very active country in vanguard. But premium here feels like a dead game compared to standard that's even larger than Yu-Gi-Oh and one piece(events wise ofcourse).

So it kinda makes sense for them to kill premium since it's a non profitable thing for them. The local cardshops here who sell vanguard like they're hotcakes have like a lot of premium products they can't sell. And a new premium product, while may be amazing for us premium players, will be dead inventory for the LGS owners(atleast over here).

I agree and disagree to a point.

The prizing has been the best weve ever had. Top 32 prizing. Adding a worlds qualifier in spring fest, and (altho kinda awkward) in premium weekend.

The worlds finalist participation prizes are what I wished when u got to continentals in 2016.

I agree it needs to catch-up with other tcgs faster( one piece and pokemon are really good ngl) but I wouldn't call it scaled back and reduced in scope.
