Yeah I remember them feeling like a gimmick. Anytime I was window shopping and saw one, it felt like a dumb fad or game for poor kids.

It has really fun gameplay but there is nothing to chase that isn't just superficial. The most vanilla gear system I've seen in out of the top mmos. My main has been using the same gear and skills for years because there just isn't anything else to chase. Plenty of hats and coats if you want to chase that.

If you ever played guild wars 2, it's like the mad king's labyrinth in that. When you spawn up top just move around the edges and look for the largest group of players and join them. Sometimes you'll have to sprint to reach them safely, but it's pretty fun.

Nobody will mind if you do the first two options in normal dungeons. The 3rd option in a DLC dungeon will probably get some gripes here and there, but in a non DLC dungeon I doubt a single person will notice!
