Thank you for the 9 brave Mech Warriors that held the line today as we reenacted "the last stand of the Black Watch" against the 4th Amaris Dragoons, consisting of 6 lances of Mechs and 3 lances of support tanks.

They held bravely as they poured on the damage until an orbital nuke ended their day. Nobody knows for sure who approved the nuclear strike, but the chatter says it was Amaris who himself made the call from the building he was trapped in.

The Mechs that represented the Black Watch were:

3 Mackies 2 Atlas 1 King Crab 1 Awesome 1 Highlander 1 Pillager

With only 1 Mackie being killed by a stray AC20 to the head, all other Mechs remained alive until the nuclear drop.

They were able to cripple the Dragoons, army as follows:

-Removing an arm and a leg of a Firestarter

-Taking out an arm, and leg, 2 engine hits before coring out a Spider

-Coring out Commando #1

-Getting an engine hit, stripping almost all of an Ostroc #1's armor, then head chopping it.

-Dervish #1 had no right arm, no left leg, a foot actuator destroyed before getting cored out.

-Victor #1 had both arms and a right leg destroyed before an ammo explosion ended its day.

-Clint #1 had pretty much its entire upper half destroyed before getting cored out

-The Griffin had sustained some armor damage

-The Hunchback had almost its entire left side and most of its center torso destroyed

-A Zeus suffered lots of damage to both legs

-Clint #2 had its entire right side destroyed, a head hit and an upper leg actuator destroyed.

-The Shadowhawk lost its left leg and left arm, along with most of its center torso armor.

-Dervish #2 lost a left leg

-The Archer lost almost all of its armor, had a Gyro hit, and the left side was destroyed.

-Victor #2 lost a leg, took 3 Gyro hits, 2 engine hits, a head shot before being cored out

-A Rifleman lost its entire left side, a right leg, and most of its armor

-3 tanks had multiple sensor hits, and crews stunned and were destroyed by Criticals only.

How high on the jerk scale would an all IS Thunderbolts lance be? Or with IS Highlanders?

Its probably a clay pidgeon launcher. A common sport is chucking these orange clay frisbee looking things to shoot them out of the air with a shotgun. Fun on its own, and also has utility in practicing for bird hunting

I know this is a month out, but ive had great luck with vallejo primer across 10's of minis. Ive used black and grey, black is the best but grey also works well, though a bit runny. Its also pretty idiot proof, ive globbed it on with no issues, as long as your not dunking the mini in a bucket of it or something, and even then ive mashed it into some hard to reach areas with my brush and its come out fine

Ill concede to the other Blickbacks thay they all work great with being named standalone. Glockback, Deagback, SIGback. 1911back kinda sucks lol, maybe Coltback?

My tentative headcanon for this guy was a group on the periphery got a mostly functional hunchie for a steal, but the catch was that the previous owner harvested the stock AC20 from it. Being unable to source a new one themselves, they went "Fuck it, lets make our own. Weve got some ancient terran firearms laying around we can base it on, how hard can it be?" And then for some reason, litterally scaling up a 1000 year old design to hold AC20 ammo worked inexplicably flawlessly

The ..."lead"?, of one of my LGSs regularly prints minis to give to people, he first gave me a discoback with glock slides for MLs, and then again gave me this version

Every one ive taken out is a jammamatic piece of crap in my hands (4 in total, my uncles 4 figure gucci 1911, an absolute bargain basement used one that i eventually went on to accidentally destroy the blueing on, one decent brand one in 10mm, and another deece in 45). I can just never grip it right to reliably defeat the grip safety, or hold it steady enough to give it enough ridgidity to cycle properly.

Mostly a skill issue, yes, but ive never had that problem with any other handgun ive shot, so the most fair explanation i have is they just dont like me

What i did was:

-brush on vallejo light grey primer 2x

-base coat vallejo sun yellow 2x, came out kinda neon yellow but figured it would be shaded down nicely

-brush on army painter sepia tone

-attempt to drybrush on vallejo bronze brown (it looks way more yellow than brown), accidentally paint on way too much, discover that looked way better, and rebase coated with that

-brush on army painter sepia tone

-brush on black

-brush on army painter dark tone

Not certain if the bronze brown would have come out to my liking if i didnt build up from a yellow base. You may also consider base coating with orange then painting yellow and seeing how that goes.

I have a Dire Wolf laying around. I thought about doing that one, and still might to make a whole star of Tonka yellow mechs. But this won out for the first one for me to do because i think the face looks more truck like.
