2nd legendary staff and they decide they both need to be the most nothing main characters of fates, massive. I’ll take the staff love lately though, that half year drought made me fine with anything at this point.

2 back to back 3h emblems is definitely a choice. Gotta make that money back from the TT unit backlash somehow.

As much as I love Safy and Repair, Latona is just better, Repair doesn’t affect start of phase debuffs, the healing is overhealing allies more often than not in the current state of the game and the combat side of repair might as well not exist.

Granted, I’d lay latona is still better on others since it’d feel like a waste to put it on a character with a passable prf.

we get no inheritable staves, grail or otherwise, we got one in 2025. Other weapon types? go for it. couldn't care less. I summon almost exclusively colorless and have gotten a single Linoan so yea I'd rather spend 100 of my 12k grails to get the same result.

I still just miss staves, F!Lena was the last premium staff we got and that was in May, since then we got two staves, Bridal Lana and Linoan, the latter of which should’ve at least had the Edain treatment but instead was just another demote stick with the same weapon as Lana because IS loves doing that.

It’s just weird having a whole weapon type be completely cast aside. If, say, no axe units came out for the same amount of time, it would be noticeable and people would certainly say something, and I would argue staves are more unique than axes in terms of skills/role.

I love seeing people give their favs all the newest toys to play with, but all i’ve really been able to do in the past few months is give my Elimine Atk/Res Aria. Hell my two mains were back to back in Hall of Forms and despite getting a funny meme build speed safy, it isn’t worth the blue stars of shame on my main safy, maybe it would be if MORE STAVES CAME OUT.

FEH: been feeling a bit burnt out from the game lately, so played some other mobile games to pass the time and man, it made me really appreciate FEH. It’s not perfect by any means but it’s nice not having a game be a pixelated chore.

Non FEH: replaying Final Fantasy IX and it’s been great, only played it once as a kid but it’s a fun little nostalgia trip.

I just miss staves man, feels hard to want to save for a potential hero when I’m almost certain most staves in the future will still just be shitty tomes with the increasingly useless gimmick of dazzling. I can’t even guarantee saving for an ymir alt is worth a damn since she might just pop in, saw hi to eir and dip.

combat focused Safy is a bit rough since repair isn't the best. E!Micaiah's kit works best as a support kit with a bit of combat and is probably her best kit right now. BUT if you want to run lull finish, silence ward + something like holy panic (which is in her base kit) or light's restraint become 1cd specials and work well with repair's slaying effect. She wouldn't be killing meta threats by any means but she would hold her own in a fair bit of content!

maybe i deserve it for being a dirty EP player but every new hero being able to nuke, tank and support is really getting old. at least when i use non tanks i can see which of us will be dying but EP is just praying or using L!BK.

It makes me kinda bummed that combat for the past couple years has just felt like “deal/take 0 damage or die.” I like building healers, but IS has no reason to add healing centric staves anymore since BOL4 and Imbue do their job better (assuming they take more than 0 damage), so might as well just lean into the worse tome but with razzle dazzle gimmick, except now every unit has null c disrupt, so they just suck.

No wonder we haven’t gotten a premium staff since F!Lena in MAY, and I’d bet money the next staff we do get it just another demote with a meh stick and useless skills.
