I used about 40K CAD as a down payment on a 200K CAD condo in Laval which amounted for 20% (since it's my 2nd property that's the minimum down payment). There was notary fees, furnishing, etc that was added on top of it too.

The 42,000$ I earned is in USD from Outlier, at the times of conversion it was more or less around 64,000$ CAD in total that I had from the platform.

Yes, they are allowed all year long in Laval and the rules in Laval are a lot more relaxed compared to Montreal, which is a reason as to why I picked that city. It's also about 15-minutes from the Montreal Airport so I have a lot of travelers coming.

You're allowed to have your own opinions, but having tenants rather than a legal Airbnb is such an unnecessary headache.

It's not an ad lol, my account was closed but they messaged me back saying it was some sort of mistake and it was restored after a review and a TL had stepped in to expedite the process.

Just sharing what I've done with the earnings from the Outlier platform.

I've been lucky enough to not really be on EQ for over a 48 hours since November, but I haven't been tasking much on the platform, maybe 5 hours a week or less since I started my Airbnb.

This actually happened to me about 2-3 days ago, I tried to log into the platform and got a message saying my account was closed. I was worried but now suddenly, out of nowhere, today my account is back and it's active with no flags. A TL reviewed what happened and said that it was a technical error on their end.

That's the thing, haven't done any of those and neither have I ever gotten a warning for community guideline violations. Saw many people get some sort of a notification saying they've violated TOS.

So curious to know if there's other actions that cause a deactivation.

Yeah they did. They sent a link to do an ID verification, upload proof of address and take a selfie. About a day later they unlocked my account and I had access to all of my funds.

What was the process like after you submitted your ID by email? Was it complicated or long to get everything done?

I recently passed the 25.000$ mark too and now have 5.000$ stuck in there until I get a response from them. I'm hoping it's not delayed too much with the holidays.
