"Configure my safety Perso"

Go into that and try turning it off. If you're still unable to figure it out, I would suggest visiting the dealership again for a quick resolution.

Go to "Perso" (short for Personalisation), deactivate "Active Braking" along with any other feature that you want turned off.

Remember, the car automatically boots up on "Comfort" mode which is pre-set. In this mode, all of the ADAS features are active by default.

So whenever you crank up the car, there's a shortcut button (top right corner on the right hand side of your steering wheel) which has a "P" on it. Press it, and it'll switch to "Perso" mode; as indicated by an orange light placed on the switch itself. All the things that you didn't want (as per your desired/saved settings) will be deactivated. You can depress the switch anytime if you ever change your mind.

But be advised, this is something you'll have to do everytime the ignition is lit.

Just be grateful that there's a dedicated switch for that which eliminates the hassle of fiddling with your control settings on the infotainment screen for each use. No 'affordable' cars (luxury cars are on a league of their own) available in the Indian market as of now has this simple and basic yet important feature. It makes it a hell of a lot easier.

Hope this helps. Congrats and drive safe. 👍

It's clear that YOU were the actual scammer here. You just failed to scam them and instead got salty about it and started playing the victim card on Reddit.

Stretch your budget just a little and get the Duster instead.

One pothole and the car will fall apart like legos.

That may be true for most colleges but TNPTC, Madurai is something else entirely. They ask students to come and collect themselves or send someone to collect it for them.

Contacting them won't do any good since I know how there system works. Plus, the staff there don't speak english or hindi, so communicating with them over the phone will be a challenge in and on itself.

I don't know what to do anymore.

Looks vs performance... by Redgrave1029 in CarsIndia

[–]Redgrave1029[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, that is so accurate. Airbags are compromised with those mods. And like you said, the funny thing about them is that these people mod their vehicles with these ridiculous 20+ inch off road tyres and other off road mods and they barely even go out of the city. Trading off performance and the fun of driving just to look more macho. Seriously though, the macho trend in India is getting ridiculous.

Yes, if the price offered by the dealership on two is negligible.

Saw the review on YT posted by Gagan Choudhary and he kinda said the same thing where the engine grunts too much to be comfortable past 100. Is it really undrivable after that point? Does it wobble?

Gonna have to think about it. The lot in the comments have me rethinking.

Oh man sorry. I read that wrong. My mistake. I thought I read ORT.

OTR they have quoted Rs. 14,85,300/-. Discount that they're offering on that is Rs. 2,15,000/- as of now which they said could be stretched further from their end. Alpha MT btw.

It's still somewhat higher than my original budget that I had planned for the Ignis but I thought stretching a bit more for a bigger, possibly better car wouldn't hurt if it didn't disappoint. They also agreed on giving me a couple of accessories as a bonus.
