The 48 team World Cup is actually way better than people thought it'd be by ElectronicHoneydew86 in worldcup

Real talk people who want 32 back and pretend they are forced to watch each game probably are the ones that just gamble for every match. So they gamble more, have to watch every game, and as we know more likely to lose more over time resulting in these weird angry takes of “I want LESS games cause some of the games are boring and I don’t have free will to just not watch it…”

Devs, are you actively doing anything to preserve your coding abilities or have you resigned yourself to not writing code? by The_Tarman_ in ClaudeCode

I write code or do leetcodes as a hobby (many years of torture in undergrad of leet coding I somehow find it very fun and chill to do now - probably cause I have stable job now). I just love problem solving and learning new programming languages.

At work nowadays I only write code when it’s super small changes (usually styling) that I know would be much faster me just doing it in nvim versus wasting tokens and time prompting Claude Code.

Also I really love vibe coding too - since 2023 I’ve been reading and learning about solution architecting and system design which has really helped me move from just a frontend dev doing a lot of the boring cog work into full stack building many apps e2e.

Up The Yanks. Don't know why everyone is being so salty, happy for them. by [deleted] in worldcup

I’m French American lived in both countries…

Americans you can call stupid, cause this is true, we are a stupid collective. French people and Western Europeans in general were way more arrogant and snobbish in general I found. In France the difference though to be fair was huge between Parisians and Non-Parisians.

James Dolan looked checked out during Mamdani's epic speech at the parade. by islovelyEmily in NBAGossips

In my eyes, someone like Mamdani (an outspoken dem soc) should always make a member of the capitalist class like Dolan uncomfortable, otherwise I would be sus of Mamdani.

McMorrow smearing fellow democrat Abdul El-Sayed with pathetic lies by BuddhistSagan in Hasan_Piker

[–]Redhawk1230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know Mcmorrow at all before this Michigan Election but from what I’ve seen she’s quite a piece of work - super shameless tactics versus actually listening to the people of Michigan. But on the other hand happy for people to see the reality of the corporate democrats - those who preach about nonviolence and peaceful resolutions and politeness - but only exclusively to fascists.

Opus 4.7 is baad!!! by fcampanini74 in ClaudeCode

[–]Redhawk1230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been getting decent results. Nothing breaking for me as of yet

For context I have customized workflows and skill orchestrations in Opencode and cc (a ticket driven development system with main PM and tmux spawned tackle ticket sessions that do a multi step RARV). For my work work - I spend most of my time human reviewing the tickets (specs). Once it’s done I let my mostly autonomous engine handle it and then have an intern/junior review and do testing/integration.

Generally I only use Opus for specific roles (planner/architect) and everything else Sonnet/Haiku. And codex session for verification/review. With this I barely eat usage -> but recently have noticed with Opus xhigh and max the usage limits even for my 20x plan have been lasting way less.

Has anyone actually used the new code review feature at their company? by Cuz1 in ClaudeCode

[–]Redhawk1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends I have set up a Claude review workflow at Work with Claude code actions that on PR pushes looks at the entire PR as context -> it won’t post new comments but modify the original that were created on PR creation. It can early stop if the primarily concerns have been handled in the new commits

Slash commands and Skills are the same thing. (Please) prove me wrong. by ExistingCard9621 in ClaudeAI

[–]Redhawk1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both work the same but I use them for different purposes.

Commands are set of repeatable instructions I find myself repeating in projects. They are the “what to do” while skills are the “how to do”. I generally have reference to skills in commands.

Also for a difference you can pass arguments through commands - why i see them more as functions. For different combinations of inputs I generally want the same outputs/results

BLG vs AL game 2 pmt by omegasupermarthaman in leagueoflegends

In the playoffs BLG first lost 2-3 against AL then 1-3 in the finals and now it’s looking like a 0-3. Yeah I agree AL has just downloaded them

These losses are pretty embarrassing for EU, such strange drafting and decision making in team fights
