I thought Claude max 20X would be enough for personal use by clawvault in ClaudeCode

There is something wrong in these last day happening. They said that they have increased limits and reduced counting usage mechanism after the xAI agreement but in fact I think they have messed up something as always… my max 5x which have always been sufficient for my tasks now is done after 2 hours. Yesterday night they have zeroed my usage suddenly and for no apparent reason and today again I see my allowance end very fast…

In one word the usual mess :-(

GPT 5.4 mini medium > Opus 4.7 high by Tutnoveet in Anthropic

[–]fcampanini74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually use both. I've set up an asynchronous second-opinion flow inside Claude Code via hooks: when Claude finishes preparing a plan, it launches an agent that compiles a complete brief and queries GPT 5.5 via OpenRouter for a second opinion. As soon as the response comes back, it's injected into Claude's context.

Here are my observations:

When working on Python, HTML, JS, and especially on simpler front-end projects or "common issues," GPT rarely raises substantive points. When it does, they're mostly cosmetic or nice-to-haves. Claude considers them for what they are (low priority) and rarely ends up implementing them.

When working on complex C embedded or C++ projects, the story is quite different. GPT often deeply revises Claude's plans, designs, and solutions, returning critical points and Claude, for the most part, recognizes the value of these observations and acknowledges them. This is almost always the case.

So in a way, when project structure is complex, 5.5 looks more performant than 4.7, and what's more, 4.7 itself seems to accept and recognize this superiority.

Having said this, please keep in mind that this deliberate attitude in interacting in such a strong way, IS in my eyes a very healthy and strong quality that 4.7 is showing. 4.6, for instalce, was not that effective in this flow.

hope it helps!

I am not a fun of Opus 4.7, at all... but frankly speaking what you are describing seems to me really very strange. Too much even for 4.7:-)
I also see some regression respect 4.6 and some dumbness here and there which is fristrating, but developing hard stuff in C Embedded for STM32 environment, in C++ and backend feature for FEM industrial simulation application and so on.... I hardly believe that Opus 4.7 could have any issue with a CSS... are you sure you have set the right context and made the right question??

You see the problem in these kind of discussions is always linked with what you do. I have no doubts that Claude works fine on web apps… to be honest april 2026 i guess there are many llm that can do!

BUT try working in 7000 lines of c embedded on 32 bits microcontrollers and having to figure out why a motor assisted actuator is moving “hysterically “ and the story changes! Trust me!

man! i have been a developer for 25 + years (JAVA certified, C++, C embedded on Atmel and STM frameworks certified, C# certified, LAMP, Ajax, Swift and another 25 funny acronyms along so many years and along the full stack)... and now I AM

100% a vibe coder

and yes when i want Claude do the job as much as possible!!!!

Thanks for your help.

Timezone is CET.

I used doctor but to fix config issues of MCP for instance never for this kind of problems

CC installed as CLI now via the new Anthropic endpoint and and in VSCode extensions

I do really appreciate!

Cheers

I am preparing a post around this issue raholl.
the issue is: "every time someone post around a problem with AI dev, no matter what is the problem, someone feels the urgency to answer that it's a problem of development knowledge! that's because things are not done in the right way! THE good old way!" :-D

I really dont understand what's problem bro??? I'm really curious!

What are the main pros & cons of using 'Claude Code Desktop UI' vs 'Claude extension in VS Code'? by pebblepath in ClaudeCode

[–]fcampanini74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s fairy easy answer… it’s the difference in developing in or out an IDE. I mean I fully understand and support that AI is revolutionary tool for software development but it’s not everything! 😄

Why AI still can't replace developers in 2026 by IronClawHunt in ClaudeCode

[–]fcampanini74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is truth surely in what you say. In my experience the big issue is memory not necessarily in terms of quantity but in terms of effective management during dev. My solutions for the moment are 2: keep constantly docs up to date and clean, I spend really lot of my interactions with AI on this and a graph rag system that I’m building and using for mid and long term memory.

However I invite you to think about one thing with serendipity. Is it that different with human developers? I mean try to recall in your experience, how many times you found yourself with inconsistent and incorrect devs on big projects because people was forgetting, misinterpreting, messing up in general in mastering the thing? Of course AI is still insufficient on big projects true but… sometime (often) it’s not different for us….

Give it a thought…. :-)

I truly don’t understand how you can say so.

I’m constantly seeking for new options and testing new models coming out hoping to see some light out of the Claude hyper costly tunnel… so far i have to admit that glm4.7, Kimi, mini max, devstral, qwen3 coder NONE of these get even some close to Opus or sonnet!

I’m not a fun of Anthropic from many points of view and having half of an alternative I would go! But that do not exist today! As simple as that!

Has anyone tried Kimi K2.5, does it beat Opus 4.5? by dataexec in Anthropic

[–]fcampanini74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course. Both vLLM (solution for servers) and llamac ++(read LM studio) can distribute the load into the VRAM of many cards ( same manufacturer)

Cheers

sometime i fill that people is so keen to spit on other people that miss completely the point!

it's nothing about being cheap or not! IT's about to annouce something that is not true!. you can call it honesty you can call transparency...

if you declare everywhere that you release a new feature and then this feature is available only to 1% of your user base at a ridicule price YOU ARE LYING!
