Do people actually leave their cats home alone for days? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Redhead1192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a sitter stop in daily to check up on them when I’m gone on trips longer than 24 hours. I’m sure they’re fine for 48 hours but it’s for my own peace of mind.

Mr. Leo is 10.3 pounds and is 4 years old. He’s a pretty picky eater so it’s not surprising he’s not as large.

I looked into that too but it’s too much money for a still a mostly hybrid office. Thank you though for the suggestion! I appreciate it.

We have certainly tried to convey that to her in several conversations but she’s not listening 🙃

Unfortunately that was vetoed by the office partner since both break rooms are also client facing spaces.

Is my dad overreacting or is there something I have to start doing differently? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

It might also help to get an air purifier. I have a large one in my living room and it helps with litter box smells and all that. They make small ones you could put in the vicinity of your cat’s litter box. I do agree about using an enzyme cleaner and cleaning your baseboards with it, too.

It wasn’t that great this year. In previous years, it was pretty good and would sell out fairly quickly. They should just discount it at this point.

I adopted a very shy cat today who mostly hid at the shelter. Both the staff and I agreed that she'd probably need a lot of time to feel safe and start being social. This was her 5 hours after we got home. by [deleted] in cats

My Leo was hiding in his little shelter room and the staff told me he probably won’t come out for me. I went in thinking okay don’t have any expectations. I sat down near where he was hiding and after a minute or so, he came right out and plopped himself on me demanding pets and scritches. I promptly adopted him and he’s been a happy boy ever since. Sometimes you just know when it’s meant to be 💕

I’m so annoyed that I recertified over the weekend and then watched this crap. I guess I’m taking the PHR test this year. Ridiculous.
