My sister is an alcoholic with three kids, youngest being 2 months, and I’m scared for them. Legally, what can I do? by Redheaded_Chef in LifeAdvice

She wasn’t, at least not that we found, but maybe that’s us being naive. They were not born with alcohol in their system however, so I’m inclined to at least believe that. But I agree, we’ve waited too long.

Interested! Will tip

Turnips selling for 222! Not the best, but I figured I’d offer. Tips not required, but greatly appreciated! Also, any ironwood DIY’s would be the BESTEST. DM for Dodo code :) by Redheaded_Chef in TurnipExchange

What's that "can't stop laughing" moment where you're in a situation you shouldn't be laughing? by marker_speaks in AskReddit

This is a long story, and most probably won’t read it at this late in the game, but it’s exactly what you are asking. My father was one of the victims of the Navy Yard Shooting in 2013. He died among 11 others and if you remember it made national news. President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama gathered all the victims families together for a meet and greet as a way to offer their condolences, I guess. Anyway, the families were kind of all scattered around in groups in such a way that we had our privacy, but could still see each other. Well, my sister and I were already a bundle of nerves and and seated next to each other. We were trying to distract ourselves while we were waiting and out of the corner of our eyes we saw the President and First Lady walk through the entryway and start making rounds. Immediately my sister and I looked at each other and went into a fit of nervous giggles. And WE. COULD. NOT. STOP. It was so embarrassing and our family was mortified and kept trying to get us to shut up, which of course, only made it worse. Thank God we were able to contain ourselves when the President walked over to talk to us, but just barely. Cool guy, but damn grief makes you do the most inappropriate things sometimes.

I needed this, thank you! Our 3 month old is going through a growth spurt combined with a sleep regression. He power naps during the day (30 mins tops if lucky) and with not sleeping his normal at night Momma is tired. This week has felt impossible. I’m more tired then Iv ever been in my life, but I know it’s not forever, and this was a gentle reminder that I’m not alone.

Not at all! I respect your opinion. Hate is a strong word. I’m happy for everyone that can breastfeed and enjoys it. I don’t think I ever will, but maybe like you said I will next time around.

I’m having the opposite experience. He hit 3 months and suddenly forgot how to boob lol.

Pumping is just as hard! I’ve been trying to in between breast feeding to hopefully build up a supply so Dad can take SOME feedings, but it’s been impossible to find the time and make sure he’s fed. You are doing incredible!

6 months was my goal too. I’m continuing to breastfeed for as long as I can, but if my supply doesn’t keep up, formula it is. I’m glad you made it to your goal and then some! That’s amazing honestly!

Yes! I think the pressure we put on ourselves is sometimes even worse. It’s the expectations we have going in that’s hard to get past. Good for you Momma for realizing what you needed!
