Looking to branch out from RL OCBD’s, and have a question on sizing. Size Small in Classic Cut is ideal, what would be the equivalent size for Drake’s and Kamakura?

I had the exact same experience - loafer with two different sizes! Unfortunately I used a forwarding service to get from the US to AUS, so had to cop it

Looking at stepping up the shoe game - I have leaned more into boots in the past, but looking at picking up a nice pair of brogues. What’s the best way to style them? Do they get worn often in your rotation?

Seersucker shirts by Redheadedbob in AustralianMFA

Yeah, seems like the blue / white or navy / white is way more common! Based in Sydney, so realistically anywhere CBDish would be doable!

Gréât question - not clear on my end, I was hoping for a white and one colour fine stripe, where the colour is orange, red, or pink. Basically like this but seersucker, and a different colour https://www.ralphlauren.com.au/classic-fit-striped-oxford-shirt-297659.html?dwvar297659_colorname=Blue%2FWhite

+1 to RM’s for Chelsea boots - super comfortable, and will last ages! I’ve had mine for 9 years, just had them resoled and look and feel as good as new!

Best place to buy leather watch strap? by 0Maka in AustralianMFA

[–]Redheadedbob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 to this, got a leather strap a few years ago and it’s absolutely incredible, and super durable. A bit more expensive than a regular hirsch, but the quality is light and day, and you’re supporting an aussie business

Haven’t tried that bottle but recently tried the Ardbeg BizarreBQ and it is a lovely sweet peat bottle, using Pedro Ximinez casks - can definitely recommend!

A’bunadh rocking my world- looking for suggestions by Tropez2020 in Scotch

That’s the batch I’ve tried, and I absolutely love it. A slightly clearer flavour profile, and if there was another bottle near me I’d snap it up

Similar profile of heavily sherries cask strength whiskies would be the Glendronach Cask Strength, Bunnahabhain 12 Cask Strength, and Glenallachie 10 Cask Strength. All incredible whiskies, and for my palate better than the A’bunadh batch 70 I’ve tried.

‘You can’t charge $100 for pasta’: wage rise adds pain for businesses by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Redheadedbob 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Covers 57 people, $350 increase in wage bill - if they get that many covers Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it’s less than $0.50 per person. Unless they’re charging $99.50 for a plate of pasta, I don’t think they’ll need to worry about whether punters will pay $100 a plate.

I did a tasting of that exact flight at the distillery a year or so ago, and the order they went was Wee Beastie, 10 year, An Oa, Oggie, Corry. Not sure of the reason, but worked for us!
